Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Just a heads up for those in near the NYC area, Forbidden Planet located near 14th St-Union Sq, received their shipment of Bruce Lee DX04 this morning. I was able to snag one and will part out the extra stuff I don't need.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Did you bother?

No, because I passed on the EB suit.

Thanks for the advice guys. Nam, which custom suit have you been using? The one from the link i posted? By mytoys_box?

Same one but instead of EB shoes, I ordered the one that came with sculpted sneakers which I prefer over EB's.

Subtitles?
I will never understand why Americans need subtitles for English accents!:lol

I'm not American. :D

:lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

thanks !

Casual Bruce is no 'flavour of the month' ! :horror
I think it was this very thread...200 or so pages back ...where I was posting that what I really wanted was a 1972 casual Bruce :yess:

But my post was meant as a joke.

also....r5150s, those pics are freaking awesome...all close to picture perfect frame grabs from EtD.

thanks ! sanded the BD face and repainting it soon..I have an extra BD head coming from toy anxiety to replace it :)

Thank you for bringing this thread back to photos, repainted battle damage face?

thanks !

very niceee pic keep it coming

thanks !

I like. ....

BD face sanded and getting repainted :)

Is that the BD face with the cuts photo
shopped off?

modified BD head

Decals... default, one with one without... slightly different expression

thanks GungFu..been a fan for a long time and I think I can pose him without any pic reference :lol it's just that he came with this hand with the two finger pose..I never seen Bruce with that hand pose and he's one of those martial artist that's got really expressive hands..

Wow ! r5150, you have truly taken some amazing photographs - they are just like in the movie and in real photos you have manage to capture the exact sequences and stands !

:lol

I thought he's giving the middle finger :lol

Oh yeah, very nice pose! :clap

thanks !

GORGEOUS pics and poses. :clap

by the way...I have an extra stealth suit coming so I modified the one on the pics i posted..if you guys noticed, it's not as bulky when it's wrapped around his waist and the knot is actually in the front like in the movie..I cut out the zippers and the sleeves out..just make it like pants and just wrap the sleeves around it :)

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

hello guys i am theclipperking , the guy who uploaded the 1st vs 2nd release version of dx04 bruce lee on youtube . i've read all the comments on here debating whats going on . i've never commented on this forum before but thought i had better reply on this matter . so to clear up the facts ...the first version i bought was in the week of release and was a single figure version , and did not come with a stand in the large bruce lee dx box . then this weekend gone i recieved another single figure version that did come with a stand , i think its the same stand that was only shipped with the clean body in the exclusive version originally. now i would like to say on the paint job ....the bd head is only slighty better but the clean head in hand is noticably better , the eyebrows are darker/thicker/wider nearly touchin the hair on both sides . around the eyes the detail is sharper , the lips look darker and more detailed , and the sweat effect is more noticable also . and both bd head and clean head the hair fits much tighter . these are all FACTS . and i like to say it is not just a one off as when i buy figure i always buy in twos as my cousin has one and i keep one and we split the shippin money , and his versions are same as mine . but i'd also like to say that i'm surprised by all this feedback because whatever figure youve got its still an awesome figure and one of hot toys best so far . ive taken more pics to try and show the differance but in hand it is very clear to see , also i'll add pics to show how the figure looks in the game of death outfit . please check out my videos on youtube if you get the chance . I totally agree with you about the really expressive hands as that was one of the main philosophies of Bruce (not just the hands of course): To express himself honestly, not to imitate or copy another successful personality.

By the way, which two finger hand are you referring to that you never seen Bruce pose with - do you mean the peace sign ? He used to do allot that when he was taken pictures of, and also wrote that with his signatures.
