Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Bruce has landed finally and all I can say is,
HOLY S*** THIS FIGURE ROCKS! :rock

My POS camera does this figure zero justice, I am blown away with how life like it is. Worth every single penny and then some! The PERS eyes system is crazy cool! I wish I was able to procure a DX b/c the accessories and extra pieces are overwhelming. Luckily I have a few TT's coming via Pony Express so I can get a 2nd Bruce up shortly. .

The box arrived mint as did everything inside including the mirrors which some have had scratches reportedly.

There is only 1 problem though. The left, bottom side of the diorama where you are supposed to slide in the left mirror panel was not manufactured properly. By this I mean that the ridge part sits too high and is glued there, and that forcing the mirror into it causes the mirror to warp and not sit flat & properly.

Here's 2 pics of that:

The mirror warping by trying to jam it:

See bottom left where the ridge sits too high, the right is perfectly flush with the base as you can see in the pictures below:

I called SSC and spoke with Daniel (who was awesome btw :clap) who said this should be easy to replace, so honestly I'm still happy :D

Here's a few quick pix with my sub standard camera:

And for those asking, I did get a stand :rock

So did anyone make the backdrop fit in a detolf yet?I didn't take out the backdrops from the box before now,and yeah there is no problem at all getting it in the detolf. You just have to raise the shelf above a bit.

Hey clipper king nice videos on you tube and the count down. I really think Bruce should've been number one. And I can tell the difference in the two Bruce you got, the second looks so much better. The god suit looks cool but the way.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I have 2, T2 T-800 heads. They are also very different. One has a shiny whiter face with better hair. The other has a nicer tan and no shine... Both are nice... but very different.

I know what it means when the Eyebrows are in HD, you can see micro lines as opposed to a blur... All in all, aren't they all F'n awesome if they've left the HT factory?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Forbidden Planet NYC has him in for $199!!!

Damn, man, I ordered from Fanboy Collectibles. I got a good price, but they still don't have him in stock.

Come on, guys!!!!!!!!!

When you say the mirror is scratched, did you remember to remove the protective film off first? I've heard that a few ppl complained about the mirror before realizing there was film over it, once you peel it off, it should be be scratch free...unless yours really does have a scratch :slap

Yeah i remember seeing that, very classy and something i haven't seen anyone done before :)

here is a pic of my display.
You don't need to raise the top shelf that much, and you still fit 1/6 figures on the top shelf just fine.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Anyone else damage the centre mirror section when removing the protector? The silver coating came off mine in sections.

the instructions clearly show that you need to remove the protector on all three sections.

Damn, may have to pick up another.

Great pic though!
Did you actually remove the protector from the centre section?
The side pieces of mine were fine (although the silver molding has some manufacturing marks) but the centre section was impossible. It came off slowly, completely peeling sections of silver chroming off. It's ruined actually. I didn't think it was supposed to come off the centre section until I read the instructions. Boy am I sorry I did!

man that sucks. What i did was to grab the protector from the top right corner and the silver "sticker" accidently followed, but besides that no,the centre mirror sticker is fine.I now understand why the instruction manual says you should remove the protector with a scotch tape,be very careful when you remove it.
