OK, let's break this down :lol

What did you mean when you said "They are just filling orders as they have a better idea of stock?"

:lol
They have 750 Lee's. They sell 600 with 150 being held as backup. They then make those remaining 150 available for any number of reasons after the pre-order is sold out.

This has been my point, but MaulFan over here keeps saying you don't mean that. :lol :nana:

Well, I'm still not sure what you were saying (if they don't make the extra 150 you are referring to available until the figure is released [as Nam says, due to credit card declines and surplus replacement stock], then what does that issue have to do with opening up additional pre-orders now?), but I don't suppose I'm gonna get anywhere else with it.

Instead, I guess we should start comparing this to his Enterbay counterparts again.

Yea, I don't presume to know why an additional 150 become available after the pre-order sellout, but before the official release. I would bet it have to do with logistics though and not about jacking up edition sizes or anything like that...At this point, we are just pulling at straws.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I wouldn't be surprised if Sideshow plays some role in edition size of Hot Toys "VIP" exclusives. They could communicate their pre-order levels to Hot Toys, which would then impact the number produced and allotted to Sideshow.

But I am convinced that Sideshow holds off on determining edition sizes for their own products in many cases because they want to gauge interest first.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I haven't kept a close eye on the DX Indy thread - but no doubt comparisons with A___on Kutcher have been made...

Sorry to say it, but HT (and Kim) have really dropped the ball on this one. I can't recall a worse likeness of a character from HT of late, and of all the figures to get wrong.

But there again, Kim is the traditional master of the Bruce Lee sculpt, so his input would probably have been sought out by Yulli at the water cooler. I doubt Kim wouldn't have offered his opinion without it being asked for first, and I also doubt that Kim would have been 'directed' to provide input either.
Yeah they definitely need to do some serious work on this figure if they expect the fans to buy this but i think they'll buy it regardless. As for worst i don't think so cause if i remember correctly the ETD Bruce Lee BD head sculpt looked like Bruce's half American brother from the mothers side. That hs had no resemblance whatsoever and if it wasn't for the scratches on the face and hair do, no scratch that if it wasn't for the simple fact that it was included with the ETD set,i don't think the majority of the people would've known who that was.Now the BD head sculpt looks not only like him but it's starting to look like something Arnie Kim did and this could explain why the extensive delay. It isn't the first time that Hot Toys proto started out severely inaccurate and then right before release the final production piece looks better than what they started with so i don't want to sound like a brown nosing fanboy but i have 100% confidence in Hot Toys.I think so anyways!:wink1:

Are you talking about Indy or Bruce?

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

He's talking about the Indy pic I posted, you know, the one right above his post. *gives handjob*

I figured as much.... :wink1:

So the deadline to switch over to flexpay is Sunday and I'm thinking about going that route for the first time. Is there any reason not to?

You'll miss out while we all have our figures and you still have to wait 3 months? :dunno

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I thought the last Flex payment normally charges around the time the item comes in, then it ships right after?

If you flex now, you'll have to wait 2-3 months while you pay. I suspect we'll see him in March.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Flex Schedule has Feb 15, Mar 15 and Apr 15 as the payment dates, so April sounds more realistic.

It does. But like the Red Ninja and Rex, I wouldn't be surprised if we get an early arrival notice for this badboy.

Maybe...

This looks to be a pretty damn nice setup with the EX body. Even for CA folks like us who might end up paying 250 total after taxes and shipping, two Bruce figures with PERS (a really nice feature for this figure in particular) for 125 ea is a steal.

A lot more value with this purchase as compared to the Indy DX.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I don't know. I dont want to start an argument about something not related to the thread. But I dont know why people say the Indy looks nothing like Ford. Yes, it could use some improvement, but when I see it, I see nothing but a young Ford, and I care nothing for the figure.

But anyways, it is not as off as the BD Bruce. When I meant the normal head needed some work its not that its way off, just the slightest fix and it will be spot on bruce.
