Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I don't know. I dont want to start an argument about something not related to the thread. But I dont know why people say the Indy looks nothing like Ford. Yes, it could use some improvement, but when I see it, I see nothing but a young Ford, and I care nothing for the figure.

But anyways, it is not as off as the BD Bruce. When I meant the normal head needed some work its not that its way off, just the slightest fix and it will be spot on bruce.

It doesn't look enough like ford to justify a $250 price tag.

I just hope we don't get wonky eyes. The more I look at my DX Joker with his stupid, wonky eyes, the more I hate PERS in general.

Yup, I totally agree with you. I am not impressed with pers at all. I much prefer the standard head.

Bleh, still waiting Sideshow, let's ship out already.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Have there been any updated shots released showing the new improved head sculpts ?

With PERS you have so many posing possibilities that you don't have with the regular MMS figures, and with the poses you can do with Bruce Lee,PERS is a no brainer.

Can you imagine doing this pose with a Regular HT head with eyes looking straight forward? You would have to turn the whole head around and it wouldn't look as good. This is what PERS is for and im glad that EB went with this method for the Bruce Lee figures. If HT made the eyes look sideways like one of the Jokers they made it would work for that particular pose, but what about other poses?

Now...the Way of Dragon(hopefully) sculpt by Arnie is a different story, regular eyes would work for that one.

I do agree that the eyes look a bit weird on the DX figures and i also prefer standard heads but with Bruce Lee,PERS is needed :)

Yes, I can see the plus side of pers. I do worry about it breaking or not lining up up properly. It's just one more thing that can break. Also, I am a weird collector and rarely change a pose, so I only need one pose. For some reason I get scared that once I change a pose, I will never be able to get it back in the same exact way. What happens if I don't like the new pose? I might as well throw the figure away. :monkey3

Then the price is the problem. I get that it still needs some fixing.

I do not have a PERS figure and I have liked Enterbay's method a lot better. I'm wondering if there might be away to make the eyes work like Enterbay. Dont want to have a cockeye Bruce.

That won't be a problem, adjusting the eyes is easy and they won't break easily at all, they are not as fragile as you might think :)

No, the price isn't the problem. The price is set, regardless. The figure now needs to match it which means the figure is the problem. I wouldn't hesitate to drop $250 on that figure if the sculpt was accurate and didn't look like a bad wax museum copy of Ford.

I used to own the DX01 and DX02. Both made me extremellllyyyy nervous. Still it wont stop me from enjoying this figure.

If it was $100, would you be complaining? It is prized to high for the amount of likeness it has.

But you are right, this is a Bruce thread.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

^^I thought the Ford sculpt looked pretty good. Im surprised to see so many unhappy fans.

Well Rock, here's to hoping you don't get Bruce Lee looking like this:

https://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSIxcubuTKBO50QgFZQH8kohQmrpF5NK2NvpuvVK_KqH5dZdD7x&t=1

That's right. You guys want to derail this into an Indy thread? Hell no! It will become another Joker thread first!

I actually think that's a fair representation of most of the Joker fans. :dunno

It's not and was never intended to be though. And I think that HT believes padding the release with a bunch of accessories will hide all the blatant inaccuracies. When one compares Indy to other HT releases, prices aside, all the technical inaccuracies should be unaccetpable at even the lowest of HT prices. The likeness is close but no cigar. The hat is completely wrong. The belt and holster are also wrong, in color too. The pants look like jeans (no pleats) and the boots look like this is Indy's first dig. Sideshow got more right at $90.
