I love this pic! Im torn between wether I want to display him like this or with his jacket!!

I'm torn as well. I wish he was a little dirty. That's the biggest reason I'm leaning toward the jacketed look.

That is odd though. If mid october release notices are going out for those that ordered in the USA, usually that means it should have beeen released in Asia a month ago..... we just gotta wait. Im hoping they pull an Alice and we get a different sculot. AND hat. lol

It's almost like the paparazzi have a reward for the first photos of this thing... :rotfl

Maybe it was built into the deal that Indy would get a US first release? Who knows :dunno

Possibly, let's hope so. But why no pics? This is still selling pretty cheaply online. I would have imagined they would have made a big deal out of this.

But how widespread is the negative reaction to this Indy? Is it just us here? How many of the Facebook comments are negative vs the positive ones (I'm not on FB so I wouldn't know) for Indy?

I'm just wondering if HT hasn't been forthcoming with new pictures because in their eyes, reaction to Indy has been good. Maybe not great, but good enough for them to think there is no need for damage control. Maybe the pre sales have been good enough for them not to deem any drastic changes necessary?

I don't know but I read quite a bit of negativity regarding the sculpt on their FB page?:dunno

Yup thats what will tell HT if there is need for change or not. As for the negative responses has been mainly here. Some on Face book too, but I dont think its been strong enough there as it has been here.

I don't believe throwing a cloak over this in the last month to try and avoid cancellations is something HT would do. First and foremost they're a business and they are pretty much the front runner in 1/6 action figs. It would be a terrible business decision for them to do that. They would lose a lot of customers and give up a lot of ground to Enterbay. Just thinking about licenses alone: If Hot Toys decided that it was in their best interest to screw the customers, that in itself would cause license holders to think about withdrawing Hot Toys licensure agreement.

I'm sure there's nothing sneaky going on. It's all interpretable anyway.

For instance, I'm sure we'll get a "different" head -- even if it's not reworked at all, it will still have a different/better paint scheme, so that alone will justify many to say "see, HT did listen and did make changes".

I just hope for another body with more realistic neck and more accurate jacket.

This is pretty frustrating.
Why does HT have to play this so close to the vest?
I can't remember so much frustration, anxiety and anticipation surrounding a figure release before.
(RE Alice isn't even close)
Being such an iconic property doesn't help at all.
I can't see how being silent helps HT unless they think silence helps secure the preorders.
Which worries me greatly.
The stance is counter to any good logical business practice especially in this hobby.
My God,HT has awful public relations sometimes.
Argh!
