So the problem with this sculpt is that pictures have been taken with flash? Therefore, if you look at this Indy in the dark, it is a perfect likeness of Harrison Ford.

Problem solved.

No you have to use his shirt to cover the whole bottom portion of his left jaw too, and no light on the left side of the face at all. Gotta completely cover that nostril..lol.

This is the regular sculpt unaltered. Left nostril is not at all like Harrison Ford, and jaw is too wide.

Fixed by drawing in correct nostril and smoothing out the jawline.

This pic removes exactly what is wrong with heavy black shadow, and guess what, problem fixed, it looks like Ford. Congrats. Get this figure home, open the box in daylight and you think...hmm, something is just not right, it doesn't look like him anymore.

Yes after 100 pages of beating this into submission it's a bad sculpt it keeps going because if any of us defend it and say we like it it begins all over again!

The only reason this is the only picture that looks like Harrison Ford is that the right nostril is a normal size and accurate however the other side of his face, the nostril is too small and way off which is the main reason the sculpt is off.

The 5 people that are in this forum who love this sculpt and give it praises are far overshadowed by those who know what Harrison Ford looks like. The left nostril is too small, and the jaw is too big are well documented problems along with PERS looking unnatural.

look at the left nostril of the sculpt, and then look at the jawline. The left nostril is too small compared to the way Ford looked like during Raiders. The sculpts jawline is way off as well. Too bad Hot Toys didn't get Arnie Kim to make those very minor adjustments.

It is the same sculpt/figure which can be made to look like Ford if positioned in such a way where it hides its biggest flaw which is the left nostril. Look at the pic above and then look at the one beneath it which fixes the issue. Huge difference.

At first I absolutely hated the thing.

But its not as bad as it could have been and it is the best straight out the box indy available.

I just cant justify the cost so I wont be buying.

I think it has been bashed enough.

This may or may not have been mentioned already, but has anyone else noticed something wrong with Indy's left nostril? If only someone would post a photo manip that corrected this, then we could be sure if that were truly the problem with this sculpt...

By the time I do the price breakdown for all the bits I want, map room gear and staff, plus the extra body, it might be more economical just to get the whole fig after all.

I really don't need the pedestal as I got that with SS Belloq, but almost everything else I could use for my bash and a Map Room Indy. So I may very well get this...but not really for its intended purpose.

Good point - you might end up paying up to $150 for selected (the best ones incl body) parts combined, which might be the price for this guy in a sealed box in 4-6 months given the rocky reception.

Once you start shelling out for one piece after another, you go down that road then realize you could have bought the whole thing for the same amount of money!
