Well, after spending many months convincing myself that I am only going to get the Nicholson Joker, I caved about a month ago when these went up and pre-ordered it. After a few weeks of therapy, I am now able to admit that I have no self-control when it comes to Hot Toys and Batman products.

But, I will probably cancel. Clearly, this figure is left handed and Michael Keaton is right handed. Where is the accuracy Hot Toys?!?!?!?

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. Articulated ankles that aren't tight makes posing a figure a pain in the butt. I have to agree with Maglor on this, though.

Even a non-extreme pose with the legs slightly bent won't look good unless his feet are flat on the ground, plus if they aren't flat you'll need a stand for stability anyways so I'd rather have the ankle articulation and require a stand than have him always in a static pose and no stand at all.

:exactly:

And a word about ankles:

Some joints are hopeless if they are loose. Not the case with ankles, at least in a case where you can get at them - which I assume will be the case with this figure. All you have to do is take the shoe/boot off the figure, remove the little barbell that connects the feet to the ankle, and put a thin coating of super glue on it. Pop it back in place (after it dries) and voilà! Tight ankle! :clap

No way I want ridged ankles with this. It's not a deal breaker like it was with Spiderman as I'm owning this no matter what. But I will be pretty disappointed if the ankles don't articulate.

Really, if anyone wanted the feet to lay perfectly flat against the floor they could.

All you'd have to do is pose the legs and move them inward slightly and, viola, it's standing perfectly flat.

In this pic, the photographer obviously didn't do that,

Yes yes, of course. But why should we be restricted like that? I like a wider stance - it looks badass. Do you really want there to be only one position that looks good? Why have any articulation in the lower body at all? :huh

Also, has there actually been a case of rubber boots leaking or being problematic in any way?

They will fix the boots. The same thing was on the Spidey prototype and was fixed on the final figure. This being a DX, I'd be shocked if they didn't address this issue.

Batman's suit/weponary vault is looking more and more like a possibility.

Do you think that this figure will be able to sit inside de Batmobile??

It's the first "rubber figure" i will get, and I don't know how flexible are.

No, but speculation on a hospital bed for Nolan's Dent should be done in the HT 2-Face thread, not the Burton Batman thread. :wink1:

As per the forum rules it appears my speculation is fine here, but thanks for your back seat moderating and concern. :wink1:

Well, derailing it with speculation about product for a figure from Nolan's movie, which has absolutely nothing to do with Burton's Batman is a banable offense. :wave
Thread closed - derailing is now a banable offense.

Yes, a ban for stating, "A vault and a hospital bed for Dent! :yess:" makes lots of sense.

Keep up the back seat moderating. :clap
