I just Pre-ordered this figure at Midtown comics,.....Sure hope they could revise the cape and allow some movement horizontaly (no matter how minimal) to the neck region. :slap

No need for any neck articulation on an 89 Batman figure. Keaton had virtually no movement in that area in the film.

A Bat Signal light is a must on the shelf now.

I'd like to have this too.

it's all good just trying to push the creative button on hot toys and still hope for the 89 BATSYMBOL packaging instead of another BORING shoebox display ...HOPEFULLY they realy do the box design up nice for MR.J and BATS..........

:goodpost::exactly: and we all know the packaging for this will not be in a shoebox type thing cause it's a damn DX! :lecture

A new sculpt?! It's perfect and the hat hair is from the reveal. :cuckoo:

The look on the Joker's face during the reveal is more menacing. His hare is a little more compressed on the sculpt. Probably to fit the hat better. I also think the suit is different in that scene. No checkered pants. That is what I meant. More of a Napier suit.

This figure isn't based on the reveal, though. It's based on the parade/church scenes. That being said, fret not, as HT has said that they'll be releasing more variations of the Joker.

The figure's hair actually looks how it does in the Smilex commercial after he takes off his hat...but yeah, his hair is compressed to fit the hat for the 200th Anniversary scenes.

Any idea how limited this will be?

The most I've ever paid for a single figure is $80 for Neca's 1/4 Scale Predator, but I have to have this! Hope they fix the cape, though....way too thick.

I may be in the minority here, but I really hope they DON'T do a Bat Symbol styled box, in the vein of HT Reeve. I'm getting Superman - can't wait, but the box.. not a fan. Impractical, & gimmicky. The rectangular boxes can be just as art laden & interesting, & storage friendly at the same time.

They're not going to do a symbol box like Superman. Lets not forget, Superman was an MMS, while this Batman is a DX. The DX line has this uniformity to it with the standard, foam, rectangular box, usually with magnet panels/flaps. Joker, Batman, Indy, Jackson, Sparrow and Bruce Lee have all had this in some compacity. I expect the same for Batman and the Joker.

I'd say at best, we'll get something like Indy or Sparrow with a basic image, so the bat symbol on the front, but, since the base is being made to look like the TDK bases, then perhaps so will the boxes in which case, it'll be a very cold, grey with a faint image you barely see.

Yep. Have to agree with DiFabio here. Really no reason for HT to make a special shaped box for this DX release...thank goodness.

I'll tell you what. Initially when you open the Superman box, it truly is a sight to behold. You finally have a Reeve Superman, you open up the brown mailer box and this red, yellow and blue just punches you in the face. My eyes almost fell off when I lifted the top "S" cover off. I'll admit it, I liked it.

But that wow factor starts to fade away when you're looking for a place to store the damn thing . . . Afterward it just feels unnecessary. If it were the embossed '89 Batman logo oval, I'll be honest, I'd probably lose my ____. It would be a cool box. The problem is, STORAGE.
