Jack Sparrow was originally projected in August, it was late October, early November before out in HK,

There was also that fiasco with the smiling sculpt though. I can't remember what the time period was from full reveal to shipping of Sparrow was either.

As long as they don't have QC issues, I don't care when they come out.

It would be fantastic if they're on schedule and come out in February, especially for my Birthday but if they're out in the Spring/Summer, so be it. Just make sure that,

- Batman doesn't have any QC problems with the suit
- Better bases than what we're seeing at these conventions/stores
- Wider brim for the Joker
- Cool packaging

No Nolan's Batman Figures?

Nolan Batman falls under luxary, not must own for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love BB and TDK, but 89 is iconic.

Translation: "I'm ********".

Protos have been out and on display for, what, two or three months now? They both look great. Preorders have come and gone. The Batmobile looks to be finished. Really no reason these should be delayed for 4 months past the release date.

Unless it takes more than seven months for them to figure out how to fix the Joker's ____ing hat.

This is easily going to be one of my most treasured collectibles, high up on the list of things to hold onto if I ever had to sell everything off, definitely one of the last to go.

2 is a must with this one.

This release means so many things for so many people.

There are only 4 collectibles I will ever need on my shelf:

89 Batman
89 Joker
89 Batmobile
CR Superman

All the rest is a luxary.

I hope I can score the Bat Mobile it completes the set.

As far as the Batmobile's concerned, I'm curious what's going to be on the box. Is it going to be labelled Batman, or Batman Returns? or Batman on one side with Returns on the other? If it is labelled as a Returns product, I think that figures would be an almost certainty.

Even though the vehicle is the same I don't think it would be labelled under Batman Returns...cause everything coming out is from the 1989 film :/.

Plus you know how they like to rerelease things with a few changes here and there to get twice the amount of money ... aka Round Two - Batmissle.

I'm just going by the pictures on the first page, but an alternate head showing Michael Keaton's likeness would've topped off this great figure perfectly. Doesn't mean I still don't want it, though!

They'll do it for the Returns Batman. Unless they included a second set of clothes it wouldn't have made much sense for this one.

Yep... unless this fig comes with Batman + Bruce Wayne I don't see any reason for it to have 2 headsculpts either ...

Batman Returns on the other hand yes... when he tears his mask away at the end of the film.

Hopefully they make Selina with an extra headsculpt too... Maybe they can make the first headsculpt with a removable Mask...to have A) Normal Mask and B) Slightly torn ...and then the 2nd headsculpt can be maskless with the crazy hair iono...?

I'm relatively new to HT... have most of their figures been normal/slender/TT bodies... or have they already made a somewhat obese figure lol... I'm interested to see how they will pull The Penguin's fat body off

Is anyone else getting a mightily strange "Item Shipping Soon" message on their SSC account page for the Flex-Pay BATMAN figure?

I am certain that this cannot be right as I had notifications for both my regular and Flex-Pay SUPERMAN figures before any cash was taken out of my account, and as of today...I have had no such notification.

Weird eh?

Still I have whipped off an email to SSC, but as you know, it will take a couple of days before they can get to it, and I don't want to be 'phoning the USA again from the UK (as I had to for SUPERMAN as I was having technical issues re confirmation).

So, am I alone in this odd happening?

Yeah, I think you're right...and the abs could be a bit more finely sculpted...and perhaps the final product will be....but it looks so damn good I'm not gonna be too picky.

Ironically, the real photo on the left looks more like a really life-like action figure and the Hot Toys Batman looks more lifelike.
