For the record, I do have a few stands in my collection out of necessity. But those that necessitate it are very rare. Unless they are very top heavy or weak ankled, as long as you get the center of gravity right they are unlikely to tip.

Most of my 1/6 figures are in a Detlof, so if one tips over, no biggie. Mags is right though, if you take the time to find that sweet spot they should be fine. I've only had a couple tip over here & there over the last few years.

...although I just realized I have a stand on my 12" TMP Mandarin Spawn 1...d'oh!

Not only am I a puss, I'm a hypocrite too! :slap ;)

The way I see it: if I have to replace a True Type every once and a while, it's worth it to have a display that looks much better to me.

I haven't had to replace a True Type yet (although I did have to repair one knee).

You know I was anti-stands for a while, but once I got deep into customs, the thought of my figures toppling became too much. Too much invested in them. Your biggest concern is the TT though? Mine is the resin of a custom sculpt chipping, or the paint scuffing (hence why I mostly use them on customs).

It makes me wonder... How do the factories seal their paint apps to prevent chipping and scuffing? Is there some magical dip they use?

I'm stressed because I don't know how i'm going to display him....which gadget to pose him with :panic:

But no matter what, he's got to be standing next to his car! :lecture

An 89 collection for me with just Batman and Joker and not his car will constitute a big fail of epic proportions!

Losing out on the Tumbler was a lesson learned.

Lets just say my wife knows what my Sig refers to. :lol

The Sig will be retired once the car is resting on my glorious table! :yess:

Bring it HT, bring it with all your QC issues, paint rubs, flat tires, intermitten led lights, loose ankles and melting rubber.....bring that gruesome son of a _____ home to papa!

Hey Jye! After you spend mega bucks for all of the HT Batman stuff, you can retire your current sig from "Don't Think, Just Buy" to "Don't Think, Just Cry (all the way to the poor house)"!

I have to say, i've dropped my IM Mark IV helmet and TDK head more times than I want to even think about or admit :horror, yet no scratches or dings on either.

Now, they hit hard wood floors, not jagged concrete, but still...I'm rather surprised how well the paint has held up.

Now if I could only stop dropping my stuff :lol

:rotfl:rotfl

where have you been :tap

Stop living your life and come here instead :lol

Been here and there...still reading posts, just have nothing interesting to add (except when I poke fun at you). Super excited for the Keaton Bats and Nicholson Joker too. Would only be beat by an Adam West Batman, Burt Ward Robin, and 1/6th scale TV Batmobile!!!!

realy excited for this one.. but hope they dont have ANY qc knee problems again, and place them centered not slightly off to side.. this can be only flaw that i might forsee happen with him...

Cant wait to see what the box looks like :yess: :rotfl

Also can we assume he'll come fitted with the cape? Dont want to go through the Bruce/Wayne Batman Begins trouble of fitting it again :gah:
