Also they said in the behind the scenes for returns Burton went for a more animalistic type of a bat look to the cowl, hence the more sleeker design and more pronounced greyish tone.

No debate from me, I have one, going to get the Returns for sure, and most definitely the 1/4 scale!

At the level HT's did with this, I'll buy a Kilmer Batman if they decide to make one

Odd, when the 92 suit looks much more machined and symmetrical, with clean lines, and much less raw, muscular and organic than the 89 suit.

Honestly, I'll be fine with just the Batman and the Joker. No need for Returns. To me as a kid there was always a progressive decline in quality from Batman on down Batman and Robin. Not that Returns isn't good, it's just not as good.

So AE had a pretty interesting email that went out today:

Hot Toys 1989 Batman & Joker Update (Sort of)
I know that everyone is anxiously awaiting the Hot Toys 1989 Batman & Joker Figures, and we're getting a lot of emails and phone calls about when they are expected to ship and how we're going to handle the combo pack orders.
As of yesterday, Sideshow had no new shipping information on either figure other than Batman is expected in February and Joker is expected in March. That could mean that Batman is shipping the last week of February and Joker is shipping the first week of March. It could also mean that Batman is shipping in March and Joker is shipping in April. If you've been collecting for a while, you know how often release dates change.
We're holding off on deciding how we're going to ship the combo packs until we have solid shipping information. As soon as we have more info, we'll share it via Twitter, Facebook and in the newsletter.

There's often delays in Long Beach harbor but when you think of the sheer volume that goes through there it's a wonder anything is ever on time.

It's MORE LIKELY the delay in commitment is because, as usual, there's going to be a split shipment.


Now I sit back and watch everyone scramble...
