Kinda OT, but I find it amusing how Jack Nicholson agreed to do new interviews when the special edition DVDs were produced, but Keaton was no where to be seen. A little arrogant, don't you think? Clooney not participating makes sense, but it's not like Keaton had to squeeze the interview into his "busy" schedule.

Also, his career kind of tanked after Batman. Maybe he is still a little salty.

The Burton Batmobile Thread is closed, so I thought I'd post some new here!

Hot Toys has revealed some new's about the '89 batmobile:

The "sharp-corner-hook" thing

And a cocoon-shell!

That is going to be some collectible! wow a whole year away 2013! I also like how they added both elements from each movie, the grapple hook, machine guns and shields from 89 and the discs and rotating stand from Returns. Now if they add the separation feature.

I guess I'm one of the few people on these boards who feels more loyalty to the original films themselves than the toy companies that make merchandise based on them.

WTF is "loyalty" to a film...?!
That's just about one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

If you like it, buy it and if you don't, don't.

The concept can't get any simpler than that because a film can in no way reward you for "taking a stand".

He always came across being fairly indifferent about having the role to me, maybe even embarassed and annoyed by all the attention to it. Sorta like how Alec Guinness was towards Star Wars.

That's something I meant to mention yesterday, the holes in my cape seem completely closed up, what's the best way of opening them?

That and the fact when he was cast everyone hated him and wanted him to die. Kind of hard to believe that at the time people actually petitioned Warner Bros. to get rid of him because they hated the idea so much.

Imagine if that would have happened.

I'm kinda of 2 minds about Keaton. On the one hand I like him as Batman, on the other theres no way I would have cast him, either back then or now (were he still of an age to do it)

Interesting article about Keaton's mindset when Batman was being filmed:

“It was a lonely time for me, which was great for the character, I suppose,”

I dunno, even though he wasn't on the special edition DVD giving interviews, he seemed pretty willing to talk about his experience in depth here recently. There's more interesting stuff here including his take on the Nolan films.

I'd love to know about or see that deleted scene of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman mentally.

You sort of see that before the Axis Chemicals shootout.

There's also a great article with Playboy from '92 where he talks about being Batman.
