What a total poser.

I agree, such discussions should be taken to PM if there going to keep asking one person for advice. But you have to admit you did go NUTZ on the Indy threads.

I'm not denying it, that's why I made my own thread, even though nobody has viewed it that much, I still will respect other's wishes and tone it down here. I just hope I don't see four or five pages of something that is completely random, this is a collector's forum, not twitter.:dunno

Geez,....really? Some of you must be really bored to get into these mirage debates. The whole talk about Mods is hilarious.
Grown men, arguing about pictures of toys,.....wow.
It's Guyvers right to post as many pics as he chooses.
If it is annoying to you, maybe try to find something more productive to do with your time than spam the thread with a bunch of b**ching about it.
Whatever point is trying to be established is buried in the fact that the posts calling him out and then the subsequent rebuttals are far more annoying than any chain of pictures that could be posted.
That is all gentlemen.

Ironically an arguement you just dipped your finger in too. I guess you were just bored as well... and oh suck! I just got dragged in.

Damn boredom and the petty self righteous finger pointing it brings out in us all.

and so with no further ado...

Wow SSC just emailed me a link to the HT Batmobile 89 available on the SSC site for preorder... May 2013, wow they are starting early!

$629.99 is the cost:slap

It barely ran a page. from my first post to the post where i (on topic) put up the picture of the stainless steel plate to keep it on topic

Camera talk started on page 802 and stop on page 806, but I guess it depends how you have your page set up. I have 10 post per page.

You guys need to lay off guyver1. None of us had any problem enjoying his pics way back when hardly any of us had the figure. He did what some of you asked and has posted the majority of his pictures in his own thread. Let's all get along, drop the drama, and just enjoy this Batman figure and all the spectacular pics everyone is taking.

If it still bothers you that much, utilize the ignore feature the forum offers.

Must have gotten garbled with this post (which I also wanted to reply to):

almost twice as much, but you make a good point. It might be worth it.

Id like to have one to keep mint, while I futz the heck out of the other one without worrying about wrecking the wires. I also have a mod in mind to make cape-down poses look better...

I thought lance's recent TDk cape was $40? The one that was cut from scaled measurements of the real cape?

But I hear ya about wanting one stock. You're talking to the guy who likes all the stock stuff (usually) :lol

Alright, I think we all need a pause and to take a moment to consider some mutual thread etiquette.

TO EVERYONE

This is a film that is dear to many, a dream figure for many, and now that it's in hand, we're seeing how amazing it is. Everyone, even people who don't plan to buy this figure, is wanting to see photos, many people wanting to share them, loving the figure and feeling an overwhelming sense of joy with it.

Let people share their enthusiasm, as much pissing and moaning goes on at this site, and as many people who piss an moan about how much of that goes on, we finally have a thread full of people having childish fun and just enjoying a product, let it thrive.

I understand some folks are a bit on edge because circumstances are delaying their receipt of this figure, I know it sucks waiting and seeing everyone else having fun, but look at it from the other side, if you got it before them and they treated you like crap, it'd piss you off. Your time will come, don't crash the party for others.

Now, that said...

GUYVER

Please understand, your enthusiasm is great, it's nice to see someone really excited about a collectible and wanting to share it and inspire it in others.

However, I urge you to excercise a little discretion and consideration for the other folks in here. It seems like every day someone new is getting this and wanting to come in and share with everyone else how excited they are, it can squash that enthusiasm if their post is immediately followed by a reposting of numerous pictures you've already shared or numerous ones like you've already shared. Give the thread a look over and see what's going. If it's pages of random talk about cameras, there's no harm in getting things back onto the figure, but if there's a few members posting about how they just got it or sharing something new, maybe just post a photo and a link to your thread full of photos or something. People want to feel a part of this discussion and it can turn them off to participating if they feel like someone's keeping them from being heard.

If everyone just keeps cool and thinks about everyone else, this thread can and will be a lot of fun, we've seen it, it's just derailed a bit every so often and we just need to all work together to keep it on track.

If its just for fun, thats really all you need. Like i said, i've been a photographer since high school, so the d700 is justified since i use it semi-professionally, but a point and shoot would suit your needs just fine. My dad has the nikon coolpix p510 and its a nice blend of both worlds and takes great shots. really, any good photograph is 20% equipment, 20% vision and 60% post lol

Also, to keep it on topic, here's a stainless steel plate i made to go on a dual case i'm working on for the '89 figures, although im thinking i might make individual cases instead.

Wow, that looks great. Please keep us informed if you would be nice enough to take the time to make more of them.
