I think that's one of the main reasons Nicholson's Joker worked for me better than Ledger's. He was able to take the "clowny" aspect of Joker and add humor into the kills vs. being just some random full-blown psychotic like Gacy who paints his face.
This is exactly what i say to people when discussing the movies. To me Jack is much more the joker because of aspects like that. Frying somebody alive while laughing and making jokes about it. I thought Ledger was brilliant but was just another big movie psycho but with face paint. There were definitely aspects of the joker to him but i think jack's was much more the joker from the comics. But i know this isnt the thread for that, just wanted to pipe in as i share your view, and not many people have agreed with me.
Even less will now.
I don't want anyone to get me wrong, the HT TDK line is also cool, and his cape backpack is part of the movie so it's ok to display that way, but the stock capes have left a-lot to be desired and even the OC Ex still lacks in that department even with the improvements.
Well even though it's never stated out right, I believe the Wayne's were a mob hit. I mean Napier's a young guy, probably just starting out in the mob and was told to kill Thomas and Martha Wayne.
It definitely wasn't a robbery and Napier's partner looks shocked when Jack shoots the both of them. Just look at the way they're dressed, certainly not petty, street thugs.
I never got that from the scene.
I think that's the way to go. Ends up being at least $16 cheaper. Plus it hurts less when the combined price for the two figures stays under $500...I got mine from Alter Ego Comics. I know a number of us did actually.

Well what about Batman saying "Excuse me, have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moon light", in his regular Bruce Wayne voice at the Cathedral before he punches The Joker in the face? Remember the Joker said the exact same thing to Bruce Wayne before he shot him at Viki's apartment.
So from Joker's point of view,
- Batman just stole my line, a line that I sometimes use before I kill someone. How would he know, I've never said this to him. Last person I used that on was . . . Bruce Wayne.
- Weird, his voice changed he sounds like that _____, Bruce Wayne.
- What did this crazy son of a _____ just say? I killed his parents, what?
- Oh wait, "he repeated what I just said, sounds like Bruce Wayne and even though I was younger, I do remember knocking off Thomas Wayne and his broad."
- LOL, I better just go along with what this nut says and get away before he beats the living crap out of me.
The Joker just put two and two together. Initially he really doesn't have the slightest clue of what Batman is "talking about". After all he just got punched in the face by a gloved fist, had his head smashed into a bell, thrown through an old, splintered wooden wall, and nearly broke his hand punching Batman's chest.
He puts it together and decides to start backing away.
