Amazing how fast this oil thing has spread. The "figure of the year" is suddenly brought to its knees; a turd.

I wonder how many people here will really get rid of their figure/preorder?

I'm keeping mine, that's all I'm sayin'

Pile of goo in 10 years -- I doubt I'll even care by then. I think of the tons of 3 3/4" SW figs I got piled in the garage.

Re: Nooooooo!!!!! Oil on my 89 Batman!!!!!

I'm chalking this up to a case of Batstigmata.

Clearly the tears of Adam West are manifesting themselves in the abdomen of '89 Batman.

Makes perfect sense.

Mystery solved. Thread can be closed now.

I was a full month ahead of schedule! I'm a genius.

HALLS NO!!!!!!!!!!! I want mine to be found in MINTY Condition in my tomb 500 years from now!!!!!!!

It seems like it's just leaking where unpainted plastic (buckle) touch the rubber suit. So why not just paint the back of the buckle or cut the black paper to fit the back of the buckle. Sounds like a chemical reaction. Same thing happened to the plastic horses with their rubber saddles from The Best of The West line and Captain Action's plastic guns and rubber holsters. The rubber left 'melt marks' on the plastic.

Well how is it?

I think it's too early to tell. I'm assuming it takes awhile for the plastic to react with the rubber. Maybe coating the back the belt will prevent it from happening. Anyway, I'm not ready to panic yet. :lol

On the other hand...this figure looks amazing. It really is one of HT's best when it comes to sculpts. I'll be taking a few pics later tonight.
