It seems like it's just leaking where unpainted plastic (buckle) touch the rubber suit. So why not just paint the back of the buckle or cut the black paper to fit the back of the buckle. Sounds like a chemical reaction.

My thoughts exactly. Really hoping some dulcote will make this whole ordeal a non-issue.

Pile of goo in 10 years -- I doubt I'll even care by then. I think of the tons of 3 3/4" SW figs I got piled in the garage.

Im not too concerned about a little bit of oil.

Cancelled and thinking of getting the SS LSB...poly stone doesn't leak oil.

I think it's too early to tell. I'm assuming it takes awhile for the plastic to react with the rubber. Maybe coating the back the belt will prevent it from happening. Anyway, I'm not ready to panic yet.

On the other hand...this figure looks amazing. It really is one of HT's best when it comes to sculpts. I'll be taking a few pics later tonight.

Yes. So in two days the "best figure ever" has gotten:

inflated belly
matte cape
non-shine
shallow scallops
leaking oil

Well most of those problems are Batch 2 problems... but the oil leak seems to be across the board.

Well most of those problems are Batch 2 problems... but the oil leak seems to be across the board.

How are we even sure what's a batch and what isn't? Things aren't as cut and dry as it used to be. Before it was either from Asia or, if you were lucky DCD.

Now, the figures that are first launched in Asia could very well be a completely different batch from the ones that Sideshow received. Then the figures that are starting to ship now (the second half of the "split shipment") could very well be a third batch.

I'm not even going to try and analyze or guess what the hell is going on or what is what. It's a cluster ____.

That's true. I should have said the 2nd batch thru Sideshow. But for all intents and purposes, seems like the delayed split shipment arrivals have some differences.

But we won't really know until more start to arrive and people start etting their multiples.
