Someone needs to put some paper or whatever behind the belt and let it sit for a few days, thru the weekend, and see if that stops the leakage.

This was all tried years ago with the DX02, to no avail. :(

Thought it was a few pages back...

...but it's possible that was in a dream.

That figure never leaked. You've got your streams crossed. :wink1:

10 days since I opened it, I've checked it right now...and there's no sign of oil yet.

We better start to pray...

NO oil hear had to check my belt was loose when opened him and didnt notice any then when put together ..so no chicken little freaking out issues to report......

So I'm having a tough time seeing the detail here. Is the back of the belt covered with goo?

This might help a little..
The back of the belt should be matte like Maglors, both of mine were glossy and wet to the touch, ONLY the black area that hasn't been painted.
So thats fixable, I'm going to try coating it with matt acrylic.

The question remains, is this happening INSIDE the suit as well, where it's in contact with the truetype? Or at the gauntlets? Judging by the slight residue I saw under the cowl, I believe that will be a problem if the cape isn't separating contact with it.

Jesus, Hot Toys, will you ever learn? If this is a serious issue, they are going to lose out on this big time. The Batmobile is pretty much dependent on the success of this figure.

Is it time to start a "DX09 Batman oil residue..is your figure showing signs of it" thread?

:lol

See - now that wouldn't happen to the Adam West costume.

You can't go wrong with all fabric duds. :lecture :D

I badly want the dynamic duo with a Barris Batmobile in 1/6th scale by Hot Toys, could have some real fun with posing those figures both in and out of the Batmobile, more fun then with any of the movie Batman figures.

More like nightmare :horror

Yeah I think you are mis-remembering :lol

2008 OC Batman's only QC problem is weak ankles

And so glad i didn't sell my TDK OC Batman, mines still in perfect condition. :D

Anyone else have problem with main Wayne face #1 missing paint on chin?

Also anyone else have tiny copper wire poking out of cape alone front stitching?

^^^ Yes, definitely.

Thought someone just said theirs did...

2008 OC Batman with oil? Never heard of that

After a few months go by, under the belt there will be a bit of a shine to the material on mine. It's the faintest of oily residue... I've had the thing for years though.

Well, on the bright side, mine hasn't shipped yet. :lol Anymore of this and I'll cancel and buy a Dewback and Yoda's hut. :dunno

Yes, to the paint on chin, but not on the main face.
And no to the wire.

Done.. Like the title?:lol

You think its worth contacting sideshow over these problems, there is a little tiny copper wire poking out the main cape on my batman and some paint missing on chin, I can barely see it but it is visible.

That's what I would do. Let us know how that works out.

I'll take seams and joints if it will rid us of the rubber. This figure would have still been awesome in plastic.

I have said all along that it would have been awesome if HT had made Bats' body just a modification of the muscle body.

Fool me once, your fault.
Fool me twice, my fault.
Fool me thrice.....can't get fooled again...
Fool me.....
