I paid about $290 from the local store and always over pay. Personally I think if you can afford this much on a figure then paying a little extra for peace of mind is better. The for's and against are mostly in favor of local.

Ebay - Good Price, potential defects (PERS/PAINT), hassle sending back. Postage problems.

Local - Can see YOUR figure before you buy, Can return easily and to a lesser extent you support the shop.

I personally only go Ebay if I can't get it local. It also depends the seller. If they have 99% and have sold a hundred figures then you can probably buy with confidence.

Ultimately don't listen to anyone else, you pay what you think it's worth. :)

On one last note. I checked one of the figures and on the cowl and the mouth piece had a noticible gap as if was not properly placed. I tried to fit it in but with no luck. Is this same across all batman 1989 figures. I did see a fee folks talking about it in this thread but was not aware that this was a real issue occuring with all batman 1989. My thanks, you guys are all awesome, as i am still very much a newbie in collecting!

God I wish I could pose mine as awesome as the pics I see on here. For the life of me, I just cant get the cape to sit flat against the body like the above pose. It's amazing how much difference the cape can make.

I did read something like that before. Did you try different plates? Did he only have the one figure? Could be a slight issue.

On another note some of these pics are just :yess:
