God I Hate This FKN CAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :gah::banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead

Does anybody have a spare cape to sell me , ebay wants like freaking $40 - $80 bucks , ridiculous m i just wanna cut the liner out and the wires

Mine had the faceplate sticking out over the edge of the cowl when I bought it (same with the alternate faceplates when I first tried them). It even stuck out slightly around the side of the jaw.
I simply took it out, pinched it a bit with my fingers, and placed it back into the slot, pushing with my thumb and using my nails to make sure every edge of the plate went all the way in. The slot for the plates is built in such a way that the plate could end up resting firmly without every part of it being completely secured, giving the illusion that you're stuck with a defective product when you may not be.

After a minute or two of readjusting the thing, the edge on my Bats was gone. Didn't have to shave or modify anything at all.

:lol
I think the guys who actually have their collections at work are insane.

Anyway, slighly miffed over what I may have done to his nose. I don't think I took any close-up photographs previously to confirm whether or not this is new damage or if it was always like this. If it was always like this well, whatevs. I just hate to think that I may have caused it.

If it's eating away at you, you could browse the Bay for a new cowl.

Yep, that's certainly a lot better than eBay, by about $30-40. I'd forgotten about them. Thanks for the reminder.

Are there any fixes for the oil issue yet?

I am not sure that we are certain that there is even a bona fide, 100% guaranteed definite problem as yet. The number of people, across several forums, just seems to be so very low that I personally still lean towards misidentification.

I am not saying that I am 100% correct, of course I could be wrong. But it has all but died down across a lot of the forums, certainly in the several others I follow and on FB.

:dunno

Whew, thanks for some degree of relief.

I ordered one off eBay, and I have to say that I'm excited about this. It's going to go well with my slowly growing Batman collection.

Oh baby, prepare yourself for a treat, as this is one badass figure alright. On the basis of 'fore warned is fore armed',

...the suit is reluctant to move and pose on occasion, but be patient and flex things around gently and it will do what you want.

The cape is a real bugger to get right. Of any issue that this figure might or might not have...this is the one that will get you! To replicate the look on screen, with the lining and everything, HT's cape is rather thick. However, with lots of clever futzing and 'Zen Master' degrees of patience, you will get the look you want.

Or you can remove the 'silk' liner and wires, with much care and attention, gently hair dryer the cowl scallops onto the thinner cape and viola!!

I personally have not done this, just FYI.

Somehow whatever you said reminds me of Batman's first scene in TDKR, where the veteran cop was telling his junior that he's in for an unforgettable night as the street lights went flashing :rotfl

Nice pics Jye.

Could you resize them before posting in the future please? Giant pics really slow down page loading.

Seeing jye's pics made me decide to pose Bats with his weapons for the first time yesterday, so this is how I have mine set up now:

Not sure if I posed the weapons right, but did what I did with the grappling gun on purpose, as I couldn't get the hook on his belt as the manual suggested :( sorry for the blurry pic...used a phone camera to take these pics haha..

Looks awesome man! :hi5:

I LOVE the way you've shaped the cape to drape over his shoulders nicely, like that.
I think yours is the the first I've seen that looks right - well done! :clap

Thanks for the kind compliments :) Wish I could've been able to bend/shape the wires better to make the overall cape look more streamlined though...

Couldn't resist meddling with Bats again...

Definitely figure of the year for me :)

where did you pick up those display cases?

Got the Bats case here: https://www.japanbargain.com/servlet/the-2634/Japanese-Plastic-Display-Doll/Detail

They're plastic display cases with an acrylic top...really good quality but would still prefer to have acrylic cases if finances had allowed that option.

Still out of stock though...but one of their customer service reps told me that they're expecting more to come in sometime in September

For the Ferrari and BMW acrylic cases, got them at Michaels (15 inch wine case) and Autoart respectively
