This is probably my favorite 1/6 fig I own...looks amazing, the accessories are badass I'm really happy with it.
He already did and it didn't work out. The fabric looked good at first but once put on the figure it was atrocious and didn't lay well at all. He said he probably won't be able to match what HT already has. I think HT did a great sourcing the material for this it's just the inner lining and wire that's a pain in the ass. It's a pity they couldn't have included a second wireless cape.
No, I think your best bet is to buy a second one and cut out the wire and lining. It's easy. You'll just have to live with the inner part of the cape being gray.

Ok so i had enough with the POS hot toys cape and decided to make my own.
I didn't have the balls to mod my factory cape and i'm not spending $40-$50 bucks on a spare.
I had bought this pleather material a while back for a Dexter custom i was doing . The material is perfect . I like how it came out and the way it naturally hangs .
I just traced the HT Cape , ironed it where each point of the cape it at its lowest to the top to create a pleat , i may sew a line later on.
I moved the cape to the shoulders instead of the chest where the original cape was , i kinda like it better this way , you tell me .

Looks great! What did you use? The paint doesn't crack and break off? Me and some other boardies have been looking for somehting that would do the job but would break off or make the cape look too rigid which your doesn't.

dude, no kidding, the sharp fins on his glove are SO BRITTLE! I just brushed it by accident with my finger, and it snapped off! i temporary used some super glue...and it seems to be good now, but future owners BEWARE!
Super glue will hold it. Don't worry about it. Happened to me too.

Black acrylic paint applied in washes will neither crack nor stiffen the fabric if done right.

If you use a scalpel to cut the bottom edge, you will get a much cleaner and more professional looking edge than that Shadowfla.
I'm gonna order this sucker very soon.

I was able to pick up a few display case's for my joker's and bats at craft store MICHAELS for single figure's for like 8 bucks on sale...Just temporary until i can get some money for some curio cabiinets from ikea...I like the case's but not big enough for the dx stands like the other displayed a couple pages back. I'm happy with them ,keeps joker and bats mint but again a cheap alternative until i get my cabiinet's...

with the scalpel you could ruin your cape,
if you are not so good to use it..
A friend of mine has ruined his vader's cape with the scalpel
I have preferred an easy way, I have made it with hurry...
this is only a first pass..
I will adjust later with calm and quiet...
ehm... for the true my scalpel wasn't so sharp so I want to use the scissors to finish the job quickly..
I was tired to see that quilt on my batman...
just strange on the pic the cape seems shorter than the original but is only a pic's effect..
