Well yes, that can be annoying. I don't think that mean the boards are going to hell or anything though. :dunno

The truth is, I have posted a reply to this thought here in this thread only because it is here in this actual thread...but I have not really complained about this figure at all. The cape's a pig to work with, but who has not already found that out for themselves? Plus, it's more of a working observation than a complaint.

I really think that HT's 1989 BATMAN figure is the best figure ever made by them, with an almost universal swing in favour of it.

I just thought it was a bit odd putting a complaint like that here. The Iron Man threads perhaps...

That's pretty much it. I'd add that you should pull out the seam along the front edge of the cape.

Thanks, Maglor.

I was wondering what material / item is used to paint the internal part of the cape to be black?

Is it ok to use the acrylic paint or some dye?

Thanks.

Haven't done it yet, but others have used watered down acrylic. That's my plan...

Anyone here knows that I am usually amongst the first to answer questions if I can, but there is no information more rewarding than information you have found for yourself.

Does no one use the search function anymore?

I've had this bat in one pose since I first got him on release. Tonight, i was changing the pose of the Bat from his initial cape spread out pose to a new one. I found parts of the rubber body tacky to touch. It seems I'll have to keep a monthly watch on the figure to see if anything else happens to it.

I managed to get my cape into a good position tonight.. really pleased with the look. If you mess with the wire it does stay more draped looking than flared out. Ignore the missing left arm missing gauntlet - Its in the post coming from HK

Excellent. I don't think it is possible to put this in a bad pose. Is that an original cape or have you removed the lining on it? I did not notice the missing gauntlet at first glance :)

Its the original cape and I didnt remove the lining despite thinking I would have to after reading loads of posts. I simply folded it by roughly starting from the tip of one corner, running about an inch or so then folding it back on itself to the corner then back again and so on until i had a kind of consatina effect like making a paper spring..?? By then tucking some of this through his legs and folding one corner around his leading leg it all seemed to work out good. I bet I only spent about 10 minutes on the cape...!

I don't like hearing this. I just bought the bullet and picked up one of these guys off eBay. Anyone else having issues like this?

all the rubber body are tacky, they have scattered a tacky lubrificant material to prevent rubber damage on the body, my leonidas has 2 years now and wasn't tacky anymore I had to spray sylicone to get the body tacky again...
tacky is better than dry..:lecture
don't be afraid...

my love

Yeah it does look good without the wire. it drapes more naturally. I don't mess around with my stuff tho, like to keep them intact so I just did the old trick of folding the cape at the back and it minimizes the cape on the sides.

Man, what a bad ass figure. It probably has the biggest presence in my collection.

I'm gonna lost my **** when that Batmobile comes and I have Batman along side it.

I was so close to being able to ignore this figure for an entire year but I just pulled the trigger for one. I'm so excited, I can't wait to see how beautiful this is in-hand.

I have never regretted getting mine, it’s like having a 1/6 Michael Keaton as Batman right there in your hand.

The Dark Knight is my favorite Batman movie, but the '89 Batman figure remains my second favorite figure in my collection. You just can't beat it.

Just worked up the nerve to lift the shoulder higher after watching Clipperking's review. I was worried about the crease, but not anymore. Displaying him in the usual zip line pose, and I love it.
