Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

I really want a Keaton Batman, but I keep holding our hope that HT will take the next step and show the Returns version. I prefer that suit anyway. But a Keaton Batman is a must. I hope I'm not making a mistake not purchasing 89 version when I have the chance.

If you're that worried, why not buy the 89 version as insurance. If the HT Returns one isn't good enough for you, you will have already secured a Keaton Batman, and if it is good enough, you can sell/trade your 89 for the Returns version.

I actually prefer the more organic armor of the 89 suit to the Art-Deco machined look of the Returns armor. But I prefer the smoothness and eyebrow shape/"expression" on the Returns cowl + the awesome fully extended and dangerous-looking glider cape. Hopefully HT includes it or it will be a big fail. When they release Returns, if it includes all the accessories I hope it has, I think I'll make an amaglam combo version that never appeared on screen of Keaton Bats (Returns cowl and glider cape on 89 suit body).

It would be amazing if they included the bat-glider. That thing was bad a**. I remember being at the movies when it came out and when he did that I about crapped myself lol

You make an excellent point about having the 89 as insurance. I would hate to be left without Keaton(the Batman I grew up on). Plus the 89 Batmobile I do have preordered would be lonely.

I like the 89 suit, but the art deco look of the Returns suit seemed to fit better in Burton's Gotham. Plus the Batsymbol was correct in Returns.

I prefer the '89 suit (to all the live action Batman suits really), it's my favorite. It's the best one.


The Returns one is cool though, probably my third or fourth favorite. The art deco style is cool, and it is like a streamlined, clean, mechanical version of the 89' armor. Everything is perfectly sculpted, the symbol is perfect and the plating is cool. It's basically an armored, armored version of the '89 armor suit.

Regardless, I get both. A Keaton 2.0 is a no brainer and a must have. Give me the new suit, a Bruce Wayne head, the glider, and the new gadgets and then we're talking. Nice symmetry/bookeneds with the Begins/TDK suit combo. 2 Keatons, 2 Bales. One organical, rough around the edges suit, one clean styled armored suit.

Thanks man. I was really trying to capture the look and feel of the movie and just the essence of Batman with the lighting.And If you decide to get one of Tonys capes you won't be disappointed.

Yeah, good point. The correct symbol will stay with the Returns cowl when I swap it to the 89 suit to create my "ideal" Keaton Batman. Also, I hope there isn't that much variation in the mouth spaces between the two cowls. It would be great if the 89 and 92 faceplates are completely interchangeable, multiplying the facial expression options for both.

That option probably isn't available anymore, at least not direct from Tony. I missed the boat on it too. Here's hoping he does another run.

You are not alone..... I don't even have any extra for myself in case I get a second one or Return might need it...... All fabric was used after 100+ capes or everyone.....

Chances isn't very high..... Because the material was custom made by Crystal and I....... We have to remake another whole roll again, which can take up to weeks in process, but we are very swamp with all the orders and work right now.....

Just got the cape in the mail from Tony. Holy crap!!! It's like a new figure. So glad I found out about it before they sold out. Thanks Tony!!!

we might start a second run on the DX09 cape depends on how many people are interested. I know the cape makes a huge difference on the figure and we hate to see it stop right when everyone is so excited about it.....

we would love to see more smile on everyone's face lets help each other and bring this cape back together
