Not the best pictures but I love the new capes. Tony is a master craftsman.

It now appears to have dropped off the USPS web track system completely! :horror Is this usual for international postage?

:panic:

My MRM cowl has done the same with regards to the tracking number. It was leaving the USA; now the number doesn't work and Parcel Force says it has not yet arrived. :thud:

I prefer the '89 suit (to all the live action Batman suits really), it's my favorite. It's the best one.
Mine, too.

It's iconic Batman, it has visual elements hinting his suit is made of armor (gauntlets, etc) thus the plausibility but the way they shaped the armor to look like organic musculature makes him seem more creature like and less techy. Plus, Bob Ringwood has to be given props for doing the most logical, cool, and intimidating change to Batman's costume by putting him in all black.

Which to me is the ultimate idea of what Bruce Wayne is trying to present. That he isn't human, but a giant monster bat. I even like how the B89 cowl is slightly bigger than Keaton's head, which does this cool thing with lighting given it's slightly bigger, casting a shadow over his eyes.

I prefer The Killing Joke shaped yellow oval to the Returns chest symbol. Not a fan of the german expressionism, almost train style suit of Returns. It's too perfect in terms of it's sculpting. Not a huge fan of it. Is it confirmed Hot Toys is making a Returns Batman?

If I had to rank the suits

1) B89
2) TDK / TDK Rises
3) BEGINS
4) Forever (Panther)
5) Returns

I still prefer the year one-esque giant black bat on the chest as opposed to the yellow oval. Which is something I really liked about Nolan's suits. The yellow oval is less symbolism, more branding to me in appearance. But the rest are self explanatory. I think the Forever panther suit is underrated because of the nipples.

In the comics, the yellow bat symbol was the only part of his suit that had Kevlar behind it; the idea being it was a bullet proof target on his chest.

I know, and I still don't like it. It can be a black bat and operate in the same fashion. To me it seems counter productive to be a "creature of the night" a vigilante fighting crime at night wearing a GIANT yellow oval on his chest.

ASKING to be shot. Why not just be entirely stealth and wear all black, ala BEGINS, TDK, and TDK Rises? Obviously they don't in the comics because of coloring issues. Logically it makes much more sense, and looks more intimidating.

I love the B89 costume the most, the yellow branding oval still makes no sense to me.

I feel like the perfect Batman costume would've been TDK helmet / cowl, B89 suit / musculature, B89 cape to neck connection, BEGINS shape and sized cape, TDK gauntlet blades, B89 forearm guards, BEGINS chest symbol

:monkey4 :lol

The black bat symbol on a black suit (Nolan films) always annoyed me. I don't mind the comic art with the grey suit with black bat symbol, because it's clear to see. The yellow oval had a purpose, whether it's to folks' tastes or otherwise.

Neal Adams' art is the $h1t anyway, as far as I'm concerned.

I always thought that it was Tim Burton's desire to go all black anyway and that it was DC that insisted on the yellow belt and symbol.

It was a long time ago now, so I could be wrong.

I wouldn't doubt it. Plus the chest symbol matched the at the time being produced "Killing Joke" Batman chest logo.

And as mentioned, it was basically a "branding" thing, which is why I prefer it less to the outright original take which was a much more logical and IMO cooler take with the giant black bat as opposed to BRIGHT yellow oval.

I know I'm a little late to this party but I just opened up my '89 bats for the first time and put him in my office, and I'm really astounded. What an amazing figure. Super happy I got this guy.

Just got Tony's cape in the mail today! Can't wait to put it on the figure tonight!!!!

If time permits, I will put together a quick video showing the difference in looks between the original and Tony's cape.
