Why are the Nolan fanboys still trolling the '89 thread? You have like 300 other threads you can high-five in. :monkey1

Y'know, it is possible to heavily criticise a movie's direction, plot, and even casting, and still be a huge fan of the visual aspect of it's production design, including 1/6 representations of the actors in costume.
:monkey3

Psst...I'm also a fanboy of a lot of Batman '89s design.:wave

So why even bring up Nolan though? Whether or not you like '89, sure sounds like you're shaking your BB/TDK pompoms to me.

LoL, I can't help but think of the Violator.

The discussion naturally evolved to comparing Burton's take on Batman to Nolan's---I didn't "bring up Nolan", but I definitely, and gladly, participated. What's the problem with that?

Well, there's a lot of Nolan Batman threads in the DC section, but you almost never find any comparisons to 89 Batman in any of them (maybe just a few, but not to this extent). It's only in this thread, and the Jack Nicholson Joker thread. That's really the main reason why I haven't been posting. It seems like there can't be a single page in this thread without someone arguing about Nolan's Batman and why it's better than Burton's (or vice versa). It's getting lame :lol.

I just went where one of the discussions on this thread took me. I put in my opinion and supporting points, and other's put in theirs and their supporting points and there was a lot of back and forth especially between me and DiFabio. It's a really interesting discussion for me (and I suspect, others) to compare the 80s-90s Batman movie series to the current one, and I'll never back down from a respectful debate/discussion that interests me. But, I'm also purposely not getting personal about it, because I've seen how quickly and easily that happens on these boards. :peace

What would you think about selling a dx02 bats in order to put some cash toward the 89 joker+ 89 batman?

The thought has crossed my mind :horror

I already sacrificed the intimidating OC Ex so that I could own 2 Keaton's, why not his skinny other half.

Nah, 2 Keaton's is good enough, the wimpy Batman can remain on my shelf.
