Y'know one other reason that I can't wait to get a given figure in hand - to ****ing pose and futz it properly. These people who set them up in shop window displays never do it right. Not to say that I haven't blundered myself in the past - it took some prodding before I realised the correct way to pose DX10 with the minigun and now I haven't looked back. But these people at shows and who are doing shop window displays haven't the slightest clue.

Now maybe its because they've gone back to MMS117 arms but I still haven't seen this figure (set up for the scene the above is supposed to represent) with the right arm at anything other than a 90degree angle. For scene accuracy he should be holding it tighter to his body. And the handgun is A) in the wrong hand and B) awkward looking as usual. What is it with HT and handguns? They always look puny in a figures hands, the handle barely filling the palm like the ****ing noisy cricket in Men in Black.

That's my biggest worry with this figure, the chance that the pose where he is scanning for the T-1000, handgun close to the chest and grenade launcher at the ready, can't be done. We all know the scene. And it's not, like we can change the body. I'd be buying this for the semi BD, both arms intact look, as I have the enterbay 1:4 for the fully damaged look.

This looks damn nice though

Rereading my post above I sound a bit snobby. The upside of this thing is that its an added element of 'new' and enjoyment in finally getting to pose your figure in a way you want - that either hasn't yet been done or hasn't yet been done properly.

What I would end up doing is buying another DX10 body and taking the right arm from it. Switching is actually pretty easy, although I don't think I managed to screw them back in place properly on one or two figures I did it on.

Yeah not a bad idea but we shouldn't really have to do it should we mate. HT has gotta be aware of the pose as they display it like that themselves, so it should be bang on.

Exactly what I was about to post. :lol

So sloppily posed

Great post, a-dev. I couldn't agree more. No matter the figure they're always posed ****ty in these store windows. Not mentioned futzed horribly.

As for the guns hands, not only do they look puny but the guns don't rest correctly in the hand. This has always driven me nuts. In order for the gun to be pointed straight according to the figures line of sight the hand has to be posed in an unnatural state. I've been wanting to take some pics to show my point comparing what a gun looks like in an HT hand as opposed to what it should look like in a real persons hand.

Seems a bit odd though that they would use a different body for this, other than what was used on the DX10.

They did because the single joint design works better with a detachable arm. I guess they could have engineered it for the double joint but it wouldn't have looked as "clean." Not that it would have made much or a difference because the figure is fully clothed anyway and any ugly seam would be hidden. Of course, they could have done one arm with a single joint and one with a double, but this is Hot Toys. They don't think of things like that.

And great post Fiend. I know what you mean about the incorrect sit of handguns in the hand of your average HT figure. It forces you to angle the wrist unnaturally at times to get the gun pointing realistically at a target. Its like all HT hands are designed for extreme-slant handles like the T2 shotgun. They don't take into account handguns and uzis and design hands specifically for holding those.

I found it especially frustrating with Barney Ross when I used to own that figure. I wanted to display him wielding 2 handguns but it looked pathetic, as I said like he was holding 2 Men in Black noisy cricket joke guns, a feckin 'pinch' grip with his fingers. And I don't think they've corrected this with the 2.0 version.

Great post. I am just hoping the heads fits on the dx 10... (I changed my user name) was my real name before...

Everyone liked that post and I don't know why. I actually find it hard to read, I wish I was more careful with my wording and sentence structure. :lol

Great post A-dev. Though your spealling and sintence structure could've been better.
