So if HT revisits their T-1000 figure, how would you want him to be? I think it is nearly a perfect figure with lots of extras like a DX without only pers system so I would want him to be something maybe not so articulated but looks amazing:)

Either of those would be a grand excuse to put out a new one and maybe include extra heads like the fully split head and a new clean sculpt. I'd be in. Shock and surprise.

Maybe it would help if Hot Toys stopped making such perfectly close to symmetrical shaped hair. There's not even any peaks of light throughout the hair at any angle. Arnie with an afro wig.

The perfectly solid hair is playing with our perception and causing the head to look even rounder.
Yeah - I made mention of that ages ago. The hair is too round & perfect.

MMS117 still has it on those heads in that regard.

I hope what I have shown today does not spoil people's enjoyment of this figure, it is otherwise a fantastic and hugely fun piece.

But Rorywan....*smiles though clenched teeth*...I hope I've ruined it for you. I hope you can now see nothing else and it eats you up inside till you can stand it no more and have to do something about it and then take commissions for mods. :monkey3

*stands up on high alongside Difabio and looks out across a swathe of listeners* Who will join us in this pod?

Well damn! All I see is flaws now!!!
(I wish I had a gif from the Goonies where the Frateli guy yells at Sloth "you're ruining it! you're ruining it!!!")

wow. the head size difference is tremendous.
and yes a-dev, your pictures of wrong hairline made me puke over HT variant this time. unlike with turning the DX10 head into a gorilla head, you're totally right now.
luckily i don't care for T2 "proper" looking just in a right amount to ignore it :) (after i forget all those images clearly stating the difference).

A dev has proved, sometimes the biggest flaws reside in places where we are least likely to see... Who knew a 1/6 doll could be punished severely for a receding hairline ...... and we blame them women.... Tch tch tch ...

pfff.
like women know anything about plastic dolls!

Yaaaay! Finally received the big guy! :yess: He is AMAAAAZZING!!! Except for weird hair shape....but amazing nonetheless!

I would've put up a snapshot but they are too many posted around already :D.

Just had one question, the endo-head sculpt has bit too much red on it, is there any way I can remove it to make it look more silvery/gray using a household product assuming the red is over the gray :/? (I don't want to go out and buy anything specifically for this, not that much of a bother.

No actually I was right about the DX10 thing too. At least if you go by Hot Toy's latest work. The profile of DX13's hair is virtually identical to what I did to that DX10 head. :yess:

Man U really need to change that pose. Not sure if he is fighting or is he about to bend and lift his skirt for acknowledging the massive applause for his opera..

Err, thanks? :rotfl

Tough to get full BD and use the T-1000 accessory...

Why cant people just enjoy the figure? I loved my T800 DX10..the me the inaccuracies are not significant and I dont see them. Dx10 was a perfect 10/10 figure for me, no nitpicks. its spot on, good quality, looks like arnold enough. It be really hard to get it to look completely screen accurate or else you would have a basically a 1:1 arnold strunk into a 1:6 size for the cost of 300 bucks. I was actually looking forward for the DX13...might cancel it now

*Looks around* Whose not enjoying the figure?

all this talk about the inaccuracies. When I opened my DX10, I jaw dropped and said nothing but good things about it. It seems like most of you are satisfied with the figure, yet, theres still nitpicks, that apparently warranted pictures of what the hair should have look liked compared to a scene in the movie. I just think thats a bit far fetched.

This is what some of us do with our figures. A more critical eye ultimately contributes to a culture in which things get improved as time goes on, directly, indirectly, it leads to improvement. I'm gonna end up with 8 of this guy when all is said and done. And I'm not enjoying it? Ok.

somebody mad?
i for one enjoy it without even having it in hand yet ))
might be a first HT figure that i love from the beginning, and that means a lot.

according to butters you buy more and more of them to just hate them more :D

Guys adev has a point, appreciation and criticism both almost always go hand in hand as nothing can ever be perfect. Just like its Imp to know what's right, its imp to know what's off too. Such criticism keeps the companies from becoming complacent. So long story short no one is saying its a bad figure but does not mean its a perfect figure. The best thing about life, art, people, etc is that we can cherish both perfection and imperfection alike. Its a 300 dollar doll and has to be subjected to some level of scrutiny...

if anyone says it needs to look any different than 1:1 shrunk to 1:6 would be insulting hottoys, enterbays and custom artists vision. They want just that but its tough to do.

Lastly i love my dx10 too, and we love our pets, our pets love us, we love our family and our family loves us that does not mean we are all perfect. Although dont go too far and start pointing fingers at your gf ;) they typically dont understand this logic :) ...

Boy do I not miss him.

Y'know what I know where you're coming from. I just came from the 89 Batmobile thread, a product which I am completely happy with, inaccuracies or none. There are definitely things that I enjoy completely uncritically. Quite simply though Terminator cannot be one of them. This is my personal primary obsession. So I'm not enjoying them in exactly the same way as I do other figures, but rest assured I am still enjoying them.
