The figure (that picture) look really good. The figure would be nice to have but also that $230 would be nice to keep for another DX or MMS character if you already have the previous release.

I am not even a big fan of Nicholson Joker, but I think this figure looks great.
I'm waiting til SS has some promo codes, beacuse, with shipping it's going to be close to $250, a little too much for what it comes with.

Early sell-out is good.... for us who did not preorder that is.

Because it tells HT that they have a winner and should make more, which means "we" -- the non-preorder guys -- will have a better chance at getting one later because HT made more based on early demand.

THANKS to all you who put up their NRD for me and the others! :clap

I was mostly joking, but SS and some retailers will have it.

I don't know that I would've PO'd with an NRD. At least I've got flexibility to cancel it if need be without losing that. I would still prefer to get him with a coupon when there's one though...

I admire those who want this and are willing to wait it out. Especially for a possible savings of only $20-30. That isn't worth the risk of this actually being more limited than the original Jack Joker and what the secondary market price could be. I kinda suspect that this isn't going to be as mass produced because of it being a niche variant. Just my personal opinion.

I agree. I think there will be far fewer of these made. But I also think there is far less demand. So it evens out in the wash.

This is also an impulse buy item, meaning people will unload this once something they "gotta have" comes along. Just one more way to acquire this for less down the road.

Funny, lots of Easy Pass around here and he still sells out. :pfft:

I think Hot Toys made a whole lot of the original 89 Joker and Batman knowing how big they would be...I bet they don't make as many of the this follow up MIME. He is an extra 'kick at the can' so won't be a lot of him.

For me - there hasn't been a figure yet that I want more than him, Iron Patriot is a close second, that includes DX Vader / GIJOE / COBRA /any Avenger or Mark series.

Another reason I am hesitant. I could be one of those people were I to buy it. I don't like renting figures. Anything I've sold or that I have FS is something that I did not expect or have any suspicions I might be selling further down the road. Quite a lot as it turned out if you look at my itrader feedback. All stuff I had bought before the need struck to embark on selling. Well...I think. Most of it.

. . . and hopefully more Nicholson Joker versions in the future. Atleast one more to get a more unique flesh tone face/dark hair anyway.

I agree. I think a lot of Jack Jokers and Keaton Bats were made. Maybe even more Jokers in comparison but Mime will probably be different.

So far my wants in this line have been/are:

1. Batman
2. Joker (main attire)
3. Mime Joker
4. Mob Joker
5. Melty Joker (with xtra flesh tone sculpt)

I really like Difabio's idea of a combo Mob and Melty set. That just makes sense.

6. Bob
7. Mime Goon (probably never see this :( )
8. Keaton Wayne of some kind.
9. Gordon
10. Literally whatever figure HT makes from the 89 Batman film.

That's my top ten...sortof. :D But I highly doubt HT will delve any deeper into this line past #5.

My initial reaction to news of the DX14 was disappointment. As the thread title says though I nor anyone else had any clue HT would do this figure, makes me think; well hope they are keeping the Back To The Future figs under wraps, like they have with the DX14
