Hot Toys- DX14- Mime version Joker... didn't see this coming!

I'm not hating on this figure at all, but I must admit my first response to this announcement was that it was fake/fan-made.

I can understand some of the hate for this figure, seeing as how they haven't announced figures from so many other licenses yet, including bat-related lines like Arkham City, Returns and '66 Batman. But he's an easy figure for Hot Toys to do, and I'm super excited for him.

He was easily on my top ten figure wants, but Burton's Batman is my all-time favorite movie, so I'm biased. Heck, I'd still buy a Jack Napier, mob Joker (hoping those two are combined in one release) and a museum Joker, not to mention Vicki Vale.

And while I'm excited for the Returns reveals and hope they're on their way for Comic Con, this will more than hold me over for a while. Can't wait.

There may be many issues with likeness or the license keeping HT from releasing a final product. The thing is, we just don't know what the exact hold up is and without HT coming out and updating us on the release of these lines, we will forever remain in the dark, speculating as to why some figures are released and others are not.

I don't think there is that much hate for the figure, just a lot of indifference. However if they made this a numbered limited addition I could see it becoming very popular. I don't know why Hot Toys don't do that for niche figures like this.

I'm also going to pick up another head, and try my best to repaint it, to use with the purple outfit since I really like this expression.

There isn't one.


Yeah, people might not like the option choice (we'd all love Napier or Mob or the Museum) or the fact that it's a bare bones DX, but there is NOTHING wrong with the figure itself.

The tailoring is perfect, the headsculpt and paint applications are dead on, it's accurate and it looks just like Jack. The friggin' hat and PERS looks great too. We all have our opinions but to say this doesn't look like him or that it's garbage is nuts.

Initially I didn't know what to think (I was shocked) but I'm definitely going to get it. There's no rush to do so right now though. I bet this doesn't get to customers until 2014. It's better to wait and get this guy at a better price. Until then, I'm just enjoying the hell out of these specs/pics and store displays. I mean we all complain about "Iron Man this" and "Iron Man that", then Hot Toys throws us a curve and shows us a genuine surprise and we still complain? I don't get it.


To say this doesn't look like Jack/The Joker or that the figure itself isn't impressive is insane.

Still staggered by the choice but looks incredible and anything not iron man is a plus at this stage.

Whoa. Yeah, I have to get this. As far as fun factor is concerned the DX08 is second to none. Its the funnest figure I've ever owned, especially when it comes to posing and taking pics. This will look wonderful next to him. Plus as far as Joker figures are concerned he'll stand out apart from the pack.

I'm liking it more and more.

A lot of HT 1/6 figures on PO are sold out at BBTS ( including this one) but widely available ( at least as far as I know) at SSC.
But some of the ones SSC has only available to waitlist (dx 10, iron monger) are available (in stock) at BBTS.
I don't get it.
