Hot Toys- DX14- Mime version Joker... didn't see this coming!

Three sets of Bats and a Joker. However, not always from the same movie. So, I am expecting an announcement for the Returns Bat. This would make sense to me. With the new 89 Joker out in December, and a new Bats for March/April.

lol no. Not for a DX anyway. Very poor choice by HT. But then again, they have just turned into a money making, Joker and Iron Man producing, commercial business.

When will we get a truly decent figure like a Die Hard 1 McClane, TWD Rick or Skyfall Bond?

You're looking at it from a DX and accessory stand point though.

Snake is looking at it purely figure wise, i.e. the headsculpt, the body, the suit/costume, tailoring, etc. That headsculpt is one of their best and I can't find a single thing wrong with the costuming. Can't even tell it's 1/6 scale.

I think they want to be a commercial business! These sell. I buy the Bats, but not IM. I have the Mk1 and that's all I need. I can't get enough of Bats tho. I'm liking this version, and I do agree that it's a great likeness. The Bane is ultra realistic. My photos were not very good, but my mates thought they were of the real guy.
This mime Joker looks even more realistic.
It's nice to get a heads up on a new figure only a couple of months before release, as opposed to two years or more!

What's great (not for the wallet mind you) is how much of an improvement the HS is over the DX08, amazing how much improvement can be made in the space of a little under 2 years. Almost makes a DX08 2.0 worthwhile

The first Jack is pretty damn ****ing solid. All I think could've been done better were the eyebrows - they're too idealized for me. Otherwise.. STELLAR.

It is amazing though, this new DX 14 mime head makes the DX 08 look "inferior" or dated, from the wrinkles in the forehead, to the cheeks and the chin.

Not that the DX 08 is bad by any means, farthest from it. It's fantastic. When it was initially shown it was "the best sculpt ever" too. It's just the jump in sculpting has improved dramatically from when it initially debuted to now.

Your right DiFabio, this new sculpt is a huge improvement over the DX08. It's amazing how much better it looks in the pics, so imagine what it will look like in hand. Really nice detail in the new sculpt.

DX08 was a little stylized.. as I said. However, both are exceptional pieces - that is what matters, not which one's better - they're both amazing.

I agree, this new sculpt is an improvement. I like the DX08, but it seems kinda like a mannequin to me, mostly because the skin looks a bit too smooth to me, and the eyes on this new one seem better. A lot of that is due to the expression I know, but I think I like the expression on this one more also. People say this looks like The Mummy, but I think that's mostly because these pics are so close up, and it won't be as noticeable in hand.

The DX08 is still great though!
