^ :lol That awesome. I may actually use those steps now that I see them in action.

@Paramore Very nice pics! This figure is looking better and better.

Thanks. Resculpted hair/repaint, restructured eyebrows and purple eyeshadow added. It looks great here but amazing in hand. I wish I could take better pics to do it justice. Skiman did the work. He did it several months back and I have yet to tire of it.

Very nice. I had Small Studios do a repaint for me a while back, and was not satisfied with a the shading around the eyes. I won't tell the whole story, but I've been soured about that figure for a while, which is why I haven't been in it's thread.

I'll come around eventually, as the DX08 is my grail figure.

Skiman did a great job on that.
It's amazing what even changing the hair alone makes, I did a job on the hair on one of my heads over the weekend, it makes the facial sculpt look a lot better.

It is. The eyerbows do a lot too. Funny enough no one really mentions them when they see my sculpt. I was thinking about buying another sculpt and just getting the eyebrows/eye shadow done to have one that can wear the hat.

Ah! A while back I remember you saying you had something planned but wouldn't tell. Im sorry it didn't work out for you. Small Studios is a phenomenal painter but his work may not fit into everyones collections. I think Rory described his paints as very "illustrative" and I think that's a good description. The one paint up I wasn't crazy about was his museum "drippy" paint on the DX08.

It's not the recent pics so much - I always thought the figure looked amazing, it's more the fact that I'm a big fan of the first movie - & Jack, so wtf am I doing? :lol

Small trimmed the hair around the ears for me. That part turned out great. And I actually like his style. I just had issue with the eyes - he made some odd choices... Maybe I'll be ready to post pics and talk about it more someday. :lol

Oh, I love smalls paints. Didn't mean for it to sound like I didn't. They have a certain beauty to them, very bright and alive. I'd love for him to paint something for me but I just haven't found that piece that needs his touch.
And I know all about being disappointed with a custom piece. I had something similar recently. I was super excited and it did not turn out at all as I hoped. It makes you disgusted with it. Like you want to put it away and never look at it.

Curious about that Joker though.....:lol

I would love to see that too Mags, I think his work is very nice but quite graphic rather than cinematic. It can be a lovely style on certain figures.

Nail on head.

I'll see about posting pics this week.

Anyone that now has this figure, are the hand pegs / foot pegs the same as the 89 Nicholson Joker ?

Well the hands are, haven't looked at the ankles, they aren't as loose.

This figure is a lot of fun, even the base is a lot cooler than I thought, it actually looks great with Bats standing on it. Only slight negative would be the hat is a bit cheap and plasticky.

Man, I was really hoping SS would have sent out a notice by now... Hoping this guy makes it before Christmas shopping season starts melting my wallet!

Sallah
