I think the DX08 head size was about perfect size. Not a perfect Jack Joker sculpt but definitely not undersized. In fact the only grossly undersized HT sculpt I've ever owned was the Dent/Two Face sculpt. I can't think of another I've ever owned or saw pics of that I considered undersized.
Now,the Mime sculpt, I consider it TOO big. Borderline Sideshow size. Its a great sculpt though.
^^^ Looking good.
Sideshow head sculpts are more accurately proportioned though IMO. I think HT just has us programed to think of a 1/6 scale head a certain way.
I agree that Two Face is the only one that is grossly undersized, but I'd say they are all a little undersized across the board.
I'm very curious to see the head on the Mime in hand. It certainly looks promising in the above comparison shot.
Maybe on some of the newer 1/6 figures they're making, but the older SW figures are ****ing shocking.Sideshow head sculpts are more accurately proportioned though IMO.
Again, eye of the beholder.
Do you have an example of one that is particularly large? I've been collecting since the Universal Monsters days, and I can't think of any that seem inhuman.
A person should be about three heads wide at the shoulders.
Come on man.. Sure - in some cases, but certainly NOT with the early SW figures.Again, eye of the beholder.
Of course!Do you have an example of one that is particularly large? I've been collecting since the Universal Monsters days, and I can't think of any that seem inhuman.
The Jedi Knight Luke (first SSCs SW sculpt) was grossly too large for that body. The OT Leia was also noticeably too big.
Come on man.. Sure - in some cases, but certainly NOT with the early SW figures.
Of course!
Bespin Han for starters - that thing is notoriously hilarious! Jedi Luke, ANH Leia, Boushh Leia, Yavin Luke, etc.
Like I said - a lot of the early ones.
So far, how have the joints been? Pretty firm? I only seem to have trouble with marvel figures, but I can't not stand it when any figures have loose joint.
