Good point but don't these movies tend to get tired after the third one? Bond is pretty much the only exception to that rule (and there have been plenty of tired Bond movies).
Off-topic but I realised today that MoS is as much of a remake of the Donner movies as Superman Returns. So many sequences lifted or inspired by the two Donner movies, from hitchhiking to the North Pole to dealing with a loud-mouthed trucker to the army taking on super-villains in small town America. What it really needed was not a respectful reboot but something as radically different as the much-hated JJ Abrams treatment.
I think super hero movies are just starting to hit their stride, and I think they're here to stay.
"Super hero movies" is so broad a term. Even with the past few Marvel movies we've seen a lot of different styles. Spy thriller, space opera, etc. I think as long as they keep making them well, people will flock to them. We've been telling these kinds of stories for generations.
The Marvel and DC Universes are so huge that it's really impossible to get "tired" of it. We've just scratched the surface so far. Sure, some movies will be better than others, but if they continue the way they've been going, I don't see super hero movies going anywhere.
