You never know HT might be holding out because they have been in the process of obtaining other actor likenesses and movie license to give us more product. To reveal not only Returns but the whole 89 to Batman & Robin series. If successful then we can be seeing figure after figure revealed…Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Freeze etc……

Ht is always thinking big!!

Let us not forget the loooong pause after DX Luke. Look at Star Wars now….

Ill take a Kilmer Bats before he upgraded his suit to go rescue Chase. Jones Two-Face and Carrey Riddler would be purchases as well. Robin I would have to think about.

They wouldn't hold up a batman that was approved because they where waiting on other characters.

And the Star Wars Luke thing is way different. Hot toys did not have the Star Wars license when they did Luke. The license was Sideshows and sideshow subcontracted the Luke to be done by Hot Toys as a business favor to a major business partner. It took till last year (and after Disney bought the Lucas company) before hot toys got the Star Wars license.

As I said before, the reason I've heard for the delay was that they rushed out the Returns proto for the 75th anniversary of batman to take advantage of the free press and added interest and eye balls, but did not have the ability to move up the actual production schedule for the figure. It had not even gotten the WB and DC approval for production yet. But because of all the batman celebrations and events they where allowed and encouraged to show it off and let fans know and see that they are working on the Returns license, but it takes 12 months minimum from prototype to release...often double that. Normally they wouldn't have shown the figure until they had the production schedule approved, but due to the unique circumstances of the 75th they showed him early.

Serious question: how do you know all this?

Forever and Robin, do not want.

I'd buy every Burton and Schumacher HT before I'd buy even one Nolan fig.

Motuxmen apparently works on the movies, in costuming if I'm not mistaken.

Close enough. Practical effects, costuming, props, set design...current gig. But I've worked with/for other companies and done other gigs. From statues and figures to amusement parks and themed home rooms to visual effects and animation to business management and talent agency. And about any other entertainment or collectible type work u can imagine. Grew up in a family that did the same type of work. Hated it back then(especially when there was little work and we where broke which was by no means a short time). I grew up and joined the Marines to get away from it all. Lol but after I was out ( I am a 100% disabled vet now) of active duty I tried the talent management thing because I could just sit around but I could do a lot of the physical stuff anymore due to injuries and surgeries and I had friends that where actors and directors and producers and artists that I had meet over the years and while I was active duty I got a degree in the business management stuff. But the travel and whatnot ended up making my body worse and after a couple more operations the doctors said no more full time work let alone 80 hour weeks so I got out of that. Then my family's studio needed a hand with a couple contracts so I helped. Which lead to other work and so on. I can do a lot of the stuff at home or on my schedule at my pace, or just a couple days a week then manage others thru technology if need be. I don't do a lot of projects my self because I'm slow(not mentally lol) and miss deadlines like no ones business. But occasionally I take some on. But I have friends and family that are still full time people. My father has his studio, my sister has one, and my brother works at one. The management company I woked for reps a lot of talent as well and I keep in touch. Anyway, that's the jist of where/how I get my info. I've either done it myself or know someone that has/is doing it. I'm sure a few people are gonna not believe me, which is fine. Doesn't really matter. I'll share what I know or can share and do with it what you want.

Pretty much what I said. :lol just kidding. That's a hell of a story, sounds like you've been through a lot but led quite the life. I hope you're doing well now though. There's a few people on here who have worked in movies or the entertainment business in some form, I suppose it's easy for someone to just say that but I'll always take someone at their word until I have respond not to. I don't really post on here as much as I used to but I regularly follow threads I'm interested in and have enjoyed and appreciated your comments about working on some current movies, particularly the mention of Batman vs Superman and the multiple batsuits. I'm sure you probably aren't allowed to talk about it much but when you say multiple does that mean more than just the two we've seen?

There's one thing I don't get... Have you seen this Batman Returns figure in any Batman 75th show/con, etc...??

Sure you're right, but despite HT shows, I can't remember this figure been shown.

It was at sideshows booth at comic con San Diego this year ( 75 batman years was the big theme all around)....I saw it myself.

I'm doing well enough thank you.

And unfortunately your right, I can't say much about the movie. Besides, what happens during filming does not always make it to screen. (Like for the last couple xmen films wolverine had a full masked costume made, multiple ones in fact but they never made it to the movie) So it's hard to say. But in the next little bit (days I've heard) a trailer will come out so that should be nice for those interested.

As for seeing this returns suit at a 75th...yes. As stated SDCC this year was largely themed for that. It's why they had all the bat suits on display. And because of the superman v batman teaser and the new cowl on display it was the largest batman themed draw of the year.

Come on, Hot Toys, why you gotta be so cruel? We need some relief here!
