Close enough. Practical effects, costuming, props, set design...current gig. But I've worked with/for other companies and done other gigs. From statues and figures to amusement parks and themed home rooms to visual effects and animation to business management and talent agency. And about any other entertainment or collectible type work u can imagine. Grew up in a family that did the same type of work. Hated it back then(especially when there was little work and we where broke which was by no means a short time). I grew up and joined the Marines to get away from it all. Lol but after I was out ( I am a 100% disabled vet now) of active duty I tried the talent management thing because I could just sit around but I could do a lot of the physical stuff anymore due to injuries and surgeries and I had friends that where actors and directors and producers and artists that I had meet over the years and while I was active duty I got a degree in the business management stuff. But the travel and whatnot ended up making my body worse and after a couple more operations the doctors said no more full time work let alone 80 hour weeks so I got out of that. Then my family's studio needed a hand with a couple contracts so I helped. Which lead to other work and so on. I can do a lot of the stuff at home or on my schedule at my pace, or just a couple days a week then manage others thru technology if need be. I don't do a lot of projects my self because I'm slow(not mentally lol) and miss deadlines like no ones business. But occasionally I take some on. But I have friends and family that are still full time people. My father has his studio, my sister has one, and my brother works at one. The management company I woked for reps a lot of talent as well and I keep in touch. Anyway, that's the jist of where/how I get my info. I've either done it myself or know someone that has/is doing it. I'm sure a few people are gonna not believe me, which is fine. Doesn't really matter. I'll share what I know or can share and do with it what you want.
