Delayed two more years- HT needs to do a larger Ant Man line up...........

Surprised to see that no one on this thread is freaking out that they are releasing Ultron before Returns Batman.

Doesn't matter, at this point I will just hold on to my Batman dx09. There is no popular demand now for the batman series now so who knows.

Ultron was expected to come before this, that's probably why nobody is commenting on it.

I fully expect to see,

- QS Mark 43
- Hulkbuster
- More Tony Stark and Iron Man variants
- Ultron drones
- Hulk
- Thor
- Black Widow
- Hawkeye
- Scarlett Witch
- Quicksilver
- Vision
- Ant Man
- Drax
- Ben Kenobi
- Luke
- Leia
- Han (Stormtrooper)
- Luke (Stormtrooper)
- Finn
- Rey
- Kylo Ren
- Poe Dameron
- E7 Luke
- E7 Han
- Marvel and Star Wars themed Toy Fairs Summer exclusives
- Terminator Genysis

Before any Batman Returns or Alien figures.

Hot Toys doesn't feel any rush for Batman Returns. And why should they? The fan base for Batman Returns is pretty much a constant. It will be exactly as popular in 2-3 years as it is right now. This movie is not getting an influx of new fans nor is it going to lose a lot of existing fans en masse. Contemporary movies are far less certain so they have to strike while the iron is hot. We'll get Batman Returns eventually. Just have to remain patient. Just put $10 away in savings every week and in 5 years when they finally release the figure you'll have $2,600 saved up which will almost be enough to pay for it :rotfl

I share your assessment of Miss Perry - not really a fan of hers but that Elmo outfit gon' make me lose my mind. Up in here, up in here. ;)

Howard's currently using the BR proto to unclog the toilet on his second yacht.

We all get that. But why even announce it, let alone show a freaking prototype of it?

Thing is, fans waited for Hot Toys to strike while the "iron was hot" (lol) since 2012. People waited for them to get the Avengers and TDKR out of their system. You look back to that original Returns thread and there isn't a soul complaining about Avengers Iron man or a redundant camo Tumbler. Then it was Amazing Spider-Man, ok, understandable. They're all 2012 licenses announced in the same year as Batman Returns.

Then it's 2013. We endured all the contemporary releases of that god forsaken Iron Man 3 line. To this day, almost every version has been done, from cowboy hat Tony to random millisecond Armors to styrofoam display cases. We went through their GI JOE phase. Fans patiently waited for Hot Toys to get 2013 Marvel out of their system with Iron Man 3 and Dark World Thor, oh wait, here comes Man of Steel!

Late 2013, early 2014 is where people were getting antsy, and rightfully so. The Wolverine, Lone Ranger, ok, ok. Then we have Captain America: Winter Soldier and ASM 2 hype. Then a few months later, Guardians of the Galaxy. 2 years of waiting patiently for the modern blockbusters to subside. No big deal. Every "new" Iron Man is one step closet to Returns right.

BAM, Stah Wahs 1-7 guyz! Hype, hype, hype, hype! Avengers 2: Age of Ultron and it's dozen or so built in guarantees releases. Those two juggernauts alone have 2015 by the balls. Ok, so go for a fourth yeah of waiting for Hot Toys to get all of that out of their system? But what about all the releases that are scheduled for 2016-2019? Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War, Justice League, Star Wars sequels, etc. etc. They need time to get their due right?

Alien & Aliens and to a lesser extent Robocop are anomalies within that frame work.
But yes, dropped for the next current thing in typical HT fashion.

What was the rush for Robocop? Sleepy Hollow, Back to The Future?

Who knows? I actually think showing the prototype without telling us anything else actually made things even worse. It's like they are teasing or taunting us fans.

That's just it, there was no rush for any of those. RoboCop was delayed for close to a year. Sleepy Hollow was announced either before or around the same time as Batman Returns. Back to the Future was announced a really long time ago as well. There is also Ripley, another huge fan-demanded figure, who is still in the same limbo as Batman Returns. Also, 1/4 Predators :(

I agree, in retrospect it's a **** tease. At the time, it was cool as hell because we had been waiting over two and a half years. It was like "finally". 8 months later though along with a "no plans for Penguin and Catwoman" reveal? No bueno. It actually manages to feel worse.

Maybe Summer Q3 2015 will be it's time? I doubt it though.

- July/August 2011 (Keaton Batman, Jack Joker, Batmobile)
- July/August 2012 (DX 12 Batman, DX 11 Joker, QS 1/4 Batman)
- July/August 2013 (West Batman, Robin, '66 Batmobile)
- July/August 2014 (Arkham City Batman)

Then again, we're about a year away from Batman v Superman. By midsummer, it'll be fast approaching. SDCC, Toy Fairs and the various summer shows will probably be dedicated to Star Wars Episode 7 and Batman/Superman. I'm sure Age of Ultron 2 will still be going strong at that point, probably with Battle Damaged variations of everyone. :lol

I would actually consider that Ultron if it were $275. I'm a sucker for robots and ****. Hell, I may have even considered it for asking price if it came with a adapter and cheap RoboCop/Armory remote for the lights.
