Well that just sucks major ballsack. Then I'd definitely love a Jonah Hex, Muhammad Ali, Spawn, or Lara Croft. Anyone seen Blondie head sculpt? I've only found head sculpts when he's old and if I wanted to make a Gran Torino Eastwood. :/

Batman Begins DX is my hope.
The Workshop release was monstrous, pretty much the closest we're getting.

I rarely pop in the HT threads but I find it amusing how most of the future HT suggestions have already been or are being done by a custom artist. Have none of these HT fans/SSF members in this thread never vengured to the customs threads? 
That was my reaction once I started collecting, I wonder if HT will make such and such character? No, well let me look and see if someone has? Oh they already did and it looks better than HT would ever make it. Hmmm..

I agree that we shouldn't rely on Hot Toys for everything, and there are plenty of cool customs out there. Just check out the T-800 Police Shootout customs as an example.
However, I don't agree with your last sentence for the most part. Most of the customs I have seen can't match Hot Toys or Enterbay. The Only customs that I've seen that good are IMINIME's and a few others. This isn't a knock against those customs or the people who made them. Actually, I feel we need a few more companies out there making high quality stuff. There's got to be a few licenses out there that nobody is going to touch. Look at Asmus toys with the 1/6 LOTR license.
P.S I will say that the absolute best Heath Joker sculpt was a custom. It looked just like him. I cant' remember who did it, but if Darkavatar sees his, please help me out.

Well, customs ain't exactly easy to get over in my place. Pretty much has to buy them from overseas and that pretty much increases the cost a crapload. I do like some of the sixth scale figs small companies are making. I can't wait for the day Asmus toys are gonna release Sauron. If they ever are releasing him. We're still missing Gimli, Pippin, and Merry.

You mean this Joker? The sculpt and paint is by Imareqstd1. The clothes are by Kato.
Also most of top custom tailoring work can never be matched by HTs their runs are far too big.

Yep, that's the one. Amazing and it's a shame I could never afford it, so I'll just have to look at pictures at one.

Maybe folks'd rather pay $180-250-odd for a Hot Toys figure than two to three times the amount for a custom

To each their own brother. I think you should be all over iron man forums and complain why 1000 worthless characters are being made. To me a fast five series means a lot. The car and character combo will be awesome!
