They've been using rubber covered arms and torsos on most of their females for about 6 years now. Can't think of any female made by Hot Toys before Sarah Conner to be done that way.

are the black widow figs seamless? I own them but have never cracked them open! I have the early first iteration of Sarah Connor, this one-

I missed the seamless one from 2010 :(

The only females that Hot Toys has given the plastic sleeve arm to are ones where the elbow joint would ruin it. Black Widow always has long sleeves on with her outfit so no rubber arm for her. The Leia that just came out doesn't have the rubber as well. Only when the character's outfit is sleeveless.

Any chance of a free sample?

Yep. Only Iron Man, Black Widow and Captain America can have competing figures out all at the same time. Everyone else must wait years between releases. :yess:

One plus with that going on is the previous releases are not going for inflated prices now that fans have seemed to finally catch on that they are not going to be so rare as originally thought. Its good in a way. But again, sucks for those fans outside of Marvel who want the same love for their likes aka Aliens, Robocop, Pirates and so on.

Aren't we just fooling ourselves if we think (or even hope) that Hot Toys is fan friendly? Were they ever? They want to make money. Why should they take chances when they have tried and true winners? What do they owe us? Not a thing. It's hard for me to blame Hot Toys. I do, however, have a problem with the people handing out the licenses to companies that have no intentions of doing anything with them. There needs to be better policing of licenses.

If HT doesn't make PL Ripley I hope the license goes to a company that will actually produce Alien/Aliens movie figures. HT's track record with this franchise has been a letdown. Alien Ripley and the new Xenomorph have taken forever. Other than that, no updated Nostromo crew members, no Bishop, no Colonial marines. No Alien queen (or concept King for that matter). Then after showing Prometheus figures HT drops them. While I am thrilled that HT is producing Star Wars, Marvel and DC figures, it is infuriating how they keep other lines tied up -- Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Matrix (I think), Avatar, TV Batman, Rocky (although that may be with Storm Toys). I think they just pay the licensing fees to either to keep others from competing or to wait to see if the market picks up for some franchises considering that the next few years will bring Alien: Covenant, Blomkamp's Alien 5, Predators reboot, and 3-4 more Avatar flicks. Maybe if the Alien Ripley and Aliens Xenomorph does well things will pick up. But realistically Aliens figures won't sell anywhere near SW, Marvel and DC figures.

Unfortunately, we won't see or hear of an "Aliens" Ripley until probably a year after "Alien" Ripley ships. They won't want to kill any sales of the first one by announcing the second too early. This line isn't exactly the "Iron Man" line...

So I'll still have the old original Ripley in the Power Loader for some time, still... :(

She's not due until Q4/Q1 2017, don't hold your breath for any updates just yet. :lol

Edit: Hmm wrong thread, I just realised. Yeah, I'm waiting impatiently for this too.
