I'm serious. The jokes were funny, action was top notch, story was good (despite what other reviewers have said) which is hard to believe considering what they had to work with (Rise of Cobra garbage). It's entertaining, and actually a decent movie that can stand on it's own (suck it Star Wars). I would have preferred a comic accurate back-story for Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. That's not a complaint, just an observation. I thought Firefly and Storm Shadows costumes would bug me, but they didn't. I was too busy enjoying the film.

Zartans performance as the president was outstanding. The audience had mixed reactions of laughter and shock at the same time, and it just felt like a classic Cobra scene.

And Zartan is not dead, it was revealed early on in the movie the nanomites could heal him.

I was glad they got rid of Destro, didn't bother me one bit. Actually they got rid of EVERYTHING from Rise of Cobra

Not sure who Joe's friends were at the end, I didn't catch their names, but on the credits Clutch and Grunt are listed, I'm guessing they may have been those guys.

I also liked the Joe's going to Roadblocks hometown and establishing a new PITT. It felt like it was right out of one of the comic stories where a Joe returns home. It always looked rundown and had a gritty real world feel to it that was captured in this movie.

I won't lie, I loved seeing the big names as G.I. JOE's (the Rock and Bruce).

Unlike Rise of Cobra, I can't wait to see this come out on DVD so I can watch it again

Any good the film did, was completely destroyed, any time that butt-puppet RZA appeared onscreen. Holy ****, can that guy not act.

That said, Roadblock and Firefly doing a Gun Kata fight, was effin' cool.

So this is the movie thread now, full of spoilers? Is it not a film worthy of it's own thread in the movie section, I haven't been over there to see if it has a thread?

So does the figure look exactly like the character in the film? If it does then HT did a good job.

I completely agree with you. The good in this movie far outweighed the bad. And it did well enough that Paramount has greenlit a sequel. I have no problem with the film other than RZA and his horrible exposition. I love his music, think he is an awesome composer of films, but his acting is really bad.

SE and SS were much better this time around. And Roadblock was cool. Get a better director for the next film, or at the very least, someone who understand that action scenes should not be shot as closeups, and I will be there for the next film.

The thread has been good enough to bash the crap out of the film way before it ever got released, then it's good enough for one positive post about it.
I put a spoiler warning before I talked about any spoilers. Besides, fans should have gone to see it opening night, I have no sympathies.

In terms of behavior, he was Zartan most of the time. Physically, just a couple of times.

I will agree, the good did outweigh the bad for sure.

BUT

RZA wasn't the best and with Flint being my favorite Joe, I really hated D.J. Cotrona's portrayal...

I also didn't like the fact that Duke did end up dying. I had originally thought that one of the big reason's that they decided to delay the movie (aside from going the 3D route) was to keep Duke from dying. I had originally heard that in the initial screening last year, that one of the things that the ppl didn't like was Duke being killed off. I know (for whatever reason) ppl don't like Channing Tatum, but I do and liked his performance as Duke in both films. There were plenty of opportunities to bring him back even with the initial explosion. Both the gf and I were disappointed in that aspect.

Wonder how long this will last in theaters?

I still haven't seen. Still no real intention to. But if someone dropped off a free ticket my way... I'd likely consider it.

Thought the movie was great, i really dont know what more you guys whom say it sucked want, it had classic gi joes, action pack, just overall good action fun, storm shadow ruled (pre-orderd HTstormshadow as soon as i got back) i kinda think and im curious if its just me, but does snake eyes look alittle too bulky??? iono maybe. I kinda wouldn't mind if HT made a cobra commander that came out of the Tube, with the white suit and silver mask thought that looked cooler than his black coat attire; then again if they made a complete outfit like u see on his 3 3/4 action figure that would be under the black coat that would be better.
