Thought the movie was great, i really dont know what more you guys whom say it sucked want, it had classic gi joes, action pack, just overall good action fun, storm shadow ruled (pre-orderd HTstormshadow as soon as i got back) i kinda think and im curious if its just me, but does snake eyes look alittle too bulky??? iono maybe. I kinda wouldn't mind if HT made a cobra commander that came out of the Tube, with the white suit and silver mask thought that looked cooler than his black coat attire; then again if they made a complete outfit like u see on his 3 3/4 action figure that would be under the black coat that would be better.

I liked the movie a lot, but was on the edge of my seat in several scenes (esp the post-nuclear weapon mission) waiting for Roadblock, Duke, whomever to address their cohorts by name... "Roger that, Grunt" or "Secure the perimeter, Leatherneck", etc.

So sad that they didn't do that, but understand why they did. By not naming someone, they left the door open for that character to be in the next one, played by anyone.

Maybe a cartoon version would suit you better? I dont know what more you want, i thought that cast was spot on and looked the part; firefly, roadblock, clayton, stormshadow, lady jaye were among my fav's (shame we didn't get destro more) but thats what a 3rd movie is for (more cobra and destro perhaps to fight each other?)

I saw the movie last night. It was entertaining at best. Went to the theaters with neutral expectations -- neither too low as to say the movie would surely suck without me seeing it first, nor high to think that it would be The Dark Knight good.

There's not a "perfect" movie anyway. Even TDK has its share of haters.

I don't know. If Hollywood would instead come up with a CGI 3D movie and just hire actors for voices so the actors would at least look "perfect", and just re-use the script from the 1980's movie -- would that be the "perfect" Joe movie for this decade? Would that satisfy the most hardcore of Joe fans finally?

Personally, I think I prefer how Roadblock delivered his lines here instead of how he used to in the cartoon.

I will agree, the good did outweigh the bad for sure.

BUT

RZA wasn't the best and with Flint being my favorite Joe, I really hated D.J. Cotrona's portrayal...

I also didn't like the fact that Duke did end up dying. I had originally thought that one of the big reason's that they decided to delay the movie (aside from going the 3D route) was to keep Duke from dying. I had originally heard that in the initial screening last year, that one of the things that the ppl didn't like was Duke being killed off. I know (for whatever reason) ppl don't like Channing Tatum, but I do and liked his performance as Duke in both films. There were plenty of opportunities to bring him back even with the initial explosion. Both the gf and I were disappointed in that aspect.

My favorite Joe characters have always been Snake Eyes ad Storm Shadow. And I loved them here again. They were actually better this time, as SS was given some characterization other than "I'm the eveil ninja." I never cared for Roadblock, as i hated the rhyming. But I like the Rock's portryal here. Overall not a bad film, I would see it again in theatres, and will purchase the blu-ray.

After seeing the movie I was happy I already PO'd SS.

SS really improved in this movie.

My only problem with Roadblock is.. how much his HT figure will cost.

both have sai when displayed.

Yep they do that sometimes. The hood on The Avengers Cap figure and the stone base for Mjolnir with the first Thor figure come to mind.

I thought his costume honored the look we are all familiar with in the cartoons, while updating it to look modern. The black worked, and they abandoned that god awful mask from ROC. Like i said, I will probably pre order this guy once my last flex payment for the 89 Batmobile goes through. Just really hoping they show Roadblock and announce Cobra Commander soon.
