Hot Toys gets POTA!!!!!!!

I sure hope these ape sell. I can't wait to see what Hot Toys has in store for this line.

With the good General leading the ape war, there is no doubt that these will sell well. The General Ursus is smoking hot. Sooooo glad that Hot Toys chose General Ursus to start their apes line....even though I love the chimpanzees best. General Ursus just makes more $en$e to me as far as profit$ are concerned.

I just noticed that SS' website has Ursus only at 12" tall. I thought he was supposed to be 13"?

Another thing I noticed, HT's photos have Ursus using his middle finger to squeeze the trigger of his pistol.

My two other HT figures are stored away, can anyone tell me if HT uses soft, bendable plastic/rubber for their hands. Will these hands be able to be posed? It looks like the soldiers hands are flexible.

The hands aren't flexible. I think they have him posed with his middle finger on the trigger because the pistol is too small for him to use his index finger.

I think I'm gonna pass on the Captain, but will get Ursus and the Soldier. All of them look great, and if the Captains sculpt was even slightly different I'd bite, but I don't see him as unique enough to justify the cost.

Being a Libra I always try to balance the scale, so I'm going AZ too All the way. unfortunately I always pick the losers.... lol But I sure don't like how the Steelers always seem to get the calls in their favor. Go Cards!!!!

I got five I have so many "Come and Gone" figures that I need to start cleaning house and stick with the figures I truly want to keep, but it doesn't seem like a wise time to sell, especially with the prices Ebay charges to post your items. So I don't know what to do.

Well, if you want movie oriented go for the soldier, if you want a little taste of the T.V. series go with the Captain, although the captain does come with one of the flags from the Second film, Beneath the Planet of the Apes.



Batty, thanks for the heads up regarding the hands on the HTs Gorillas. It was hard to determine if the hands are flexible because the hands seemed to change in some pictures. The pictures with the Gorilla soldier holding the gun and the Man catcher show this the best.

I still say the Seahawks won that Superbowl; when they played. The bad calls were just too obvious and they took away two scores which would have put the Hawks on top. This year, when my Minnesota Vikings fell I went Cards all the way!!! Its funny how much time sport analyst spend speculating on this stuff only to switch their stories around when they're wrong. i just hope its not a blow out. That Palamula is one heck of an awesome athlete. He's a terror on the field. I have a lot of Steeler friends.

Hi Adam! I look at it like this, In the real Movies they had the main Apes actors and then the back drop Apes in different manners of wear. That would be a good reason to keep all. I have about the same as You, including some Hasbro Apes. I feel no shame in keeping them all!

Oh, by the way! I am originally from Illinois and have been a Chicago Bears Fan forever, but when I came to Arizona in 1979 and then We aquired the Arizona Cardinals from St. Louis, I root for them as my secondary team. Da Bears first allways though! They really faltered on that last game that would have put them in the playoffs. Again though, Go Cardinals to win 28 to 27 over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I PPO'd Ursus. He was always my favorite gorilla and i missed the chance at picking up Sideshow's version. The outfit looks really good. This will be my first HT figure (unless i break down and pick up BR Joker before then )...

He looks really good, With the helmet, the hair looks really good, but without it, it's got a bit of of fright-wig look going on as the two soldiers demonstrate. Having said that, I have the feeling some of the great ape customizers who frequent these boards will make those gorillas look great...

Cornelius. He hasn't been made by HT yet, but surely he will.

I'm really quite happy with Matt Fall's version of this character...he perfectly captured McDowell in that classic sculpt...plus, if the hair would have the same appearance as it does on the two gorillas, I definitely prefer the appearance of a good sculpt instead of the "real" hair...but I'm always ready to be surprised ...

I thought he looked preety screen accurate without the helmet. similar to the sauna scene.

I don't know, I thought the Caesar sculpt was more Roddy than the Cornelius. Cornelius was just "lacking" something, a good sculpt just "off" somehow.
