Insufferable S.O.B.
Nice grab for HT.
$50 sideshow versions didn't sell well. So we'll see how $150 versions sell.

Hot Toys said:We've granted the license of Planet of the Apes! - Although we come to the end of 2008 now, we haven’t forgot this year is the 40th Anniversary of the original Planet of the Apes movie! Hot Toys is proud to announce that we’ve added another classic movie license into our MMS series – Planet of the Apes. You should have the Planet of the Apes 40th Anniversary collection DVD at home, Haven't you? And Hot Toys' Planet Of Apes MMS must be the next collection in your display case. Who is the first one to be our next MMS 12" figure? Make your wish today and get the result by keep checking on our future newsletters!
So, HT seems to be picking up Sideshow's old 12" lines...first Hellboy, now Planet of the Apes. How long do you think it will take the LOTR crowd to seize on this as proof positive that HT will come to their rescue and complete the Fellowship? (and how quickly will people be able to point out that the new HT apes are versions of characters SSC has already produced, so their chances of getting Gimli et al are still negligible?)
I just hope Sideshow abandons the Indy line as soon as possible so that HT can give me a well-painted Indy on a body with decent scaled shoulders and without looseness issues!
Kongrats Apes!!!!!
You lucky mother^^^^ers!!!!
Fret not, King Darkness. Once we get the POTA line underway we will lay seige into them for a long overdue Kurgan!!
Wait--there's a Hot Toys Forum?
I hope HT get the Bond license.

So, just how many other Sideshow lines can we expect to see HT pick up?
star wars, indiana jones, gijoe, univeral monsters, newline horror. . .

I see Hot Toys doing these.
Now that would get me to part with some $$$. For just the basic Apes I'm good, but an updated Taylor and Ape-O-Nauts would be awesome
