Yeah unfortunately that sounds about right. Display is getting crammed up. Need to decide which ones to box up. I have shelves but all my $200+ collectibles stay behind glass. Decisions...
Thanks WG

:lol

Pretty close.

Figure a week out to BBTS from Sideshow, a couple days for BBTS to sort, then for your $4 shipping another 7-10 days to you (you and I are in CA so its the longest route).

So maybe somewhere between March 17th - 25th

I live 35 miles from BBTS and I’ll bet it’ll take that long for my stuff to get to me as well. ;). It’s too bad they won’t allow those of us that live close by to just stop in and pick stuff up.

There is something to be said about the “plaque” on the base. It has a finished official look with STAR WARS and the character. I like this. I don’t like when HT decides to release products without the plaque (i.e. WOLF PREDATOR). But even more when it’s under the same license (ESB Darth Vader)

You would love HT Punisher which comes with "Daredevil" plaque :naughty

I personally don’t mind if bases have plaques or not. If the person looking at the figure doesn’t already have an idea who the character is without a plaque, having a plaque with the character’s name probably won’t help.

My "single" Tarkin (here under posed with RO Vader) arrived today from a Chinese seller. Very impressive HS even though Peter Cushing facial appendages make it very hard to capture with a camera. Also a bit concerned by the material used for the uniform. I'm afraid poses stressing this material over long period of time might lead to premature wear/deterioration.

I’m with you on this. I love the plaques and I hate when they don’t have them like Yoda, R2, and other diorama base only figures. I also wished that when they did deluxe versions with the diorama base they should also include a regular base like ROTJ Fett that was nice.

I would go as to say there have been times where I have been on the fence on purchases (ie. Yoda and R2) and it these details (lack of base/plaque) that stop me from making the purchase. It’s an “added touch” that I like.

Yep, I didn’t wanna buy R2 for lack of base and plaque but caved because I wanted an R2 since it was close enough to pass for the OT version.

Yeah, the material is amazing in the way it scales (less "toy-like" than the SSC uniform) but it does feel somehow like it could deteriorate, almost not durable or flexible enough, and also creases seem to stay in it - not a good thing for a uniform that's supposed to look pressed at all times.

I decided against permanently posing him in the "fist held to chin" pose for this reason - I think the arms should be pretty straight in the longer term.

Any options out there to get smaller wrist connectors? These look massive and out of place in the chin pose.

Did try the "fist held to chin" for the photo shoot but arms are now resting along the body in a more relaxed pose. Not even sure if the Grand Moff will ever sit in his chair. Can't get the pants to look natural at all when he's seated.

So Tarkin doesn't come with a stand plaque? ESB Vader should have mentioned ESB somewhere, but not sure it will happen.

The thing that I don't like too much is the different stands for similar troopers: red, gray, different grill base etc. Not to mention the cases like Snowtrooper dual pack where you need o have a Snowie in flight or get a separate stand. Though I kinda like the enviro/dio bases like SSC Scout, SSC and HT Snowtroopers, HT Sandies etc. But in the end I prefer a more simpler look, even without any type of complex base, because I like the old simple and elegant HT oval stands - of course i can get those separately these days...

I am incredibly happy with my grand moff Tarkin and Darth Vader set. They really make my budget Detolf Death Star diorama shine! Video review to follow tomorrow!
