Other than adding some grey to the hair I'm not sure how they could have improved this fig. I have nearly 100 figs and this is in the top 5 in terms of extreme realism (sculpt/paint, cut/sew, body posability etc) In-hand it really is a shrunken-down Cushing.

One minor nit I noticed (other than sleeves needing to be a few mm longer to cover the white sleeves at the wrists) is that a few of the hands, most notably his "hand on chin" hand, have that line where they've inserted a new thumb sculpt to an existing hand, creating a very visible seam line. The HT Indy hands had this problem too.

Also, while everyone is constantly asking why so-and-so boots couldn't have been pleather, I'm the reverse - I'm not a fan of pleather boots (like on HT Han and Tarkin) and would rather have well sculpted/painted plastic boots (like HT did with red Skull.) The pleather boots never seem to wrinkle realsitically, they sometimes have scaling issues (too-thick foot sections due to material limitations) and they also have the danger of deterioration. That being said, these Tarkin boots are a big improvement over the HT Han boots in a number of ways, and I really quite liked the TFA Han pleather boots, which were a softer pleather that looked great.

I'm kinda surprised that Tarkin notices aren't going out, especially since they sent the arriving early emails and Spider-Man is shipping from Sideshow on Wednesday. You would have thought they'd be getting in on the same boat since they were released pretty close to each other.

Women and children first. Everybody knows that.

So the boots on Tarkin are plastic not pleather? Good to know, I'm not a big fan of pleather.

Nope - Tarkin's boots are indeed pleather. But as I said, the pattern is a little better than the Han boots. They are getting better.

I'd like to know as well. I have the RO Vader, but I would like a true ANH-labeled Vader from HT. Not sure if the first version or this new version is best.

No that's my heavily modified ANH vader....The 2pack vader is the best bits from ANH and R1...plus there's an all new better light up saber glove/arm...which is only let down by the wrong saber hilt (TESB)
But if i didn't have a ANH vader...the 2pack version would be the one i'd go for...as there's more pluses over the others..
