This set is spectacular. Tarkin is so life-like it's actually eeire. Vader's LED saber looks better than I thought it would, just can't get the batteries in the belt.

Do you have other Vader’s? Just curious if this is in fact the same ANH body without sounds vs. the Rogue one body. Looks as though it’s the exact same cape and tunic from the ANH one as well. Thought it’d be the Rogue One material...

My only other 1/6 Vader is a Sideshow, so nothing really to compare it with.

Great pics but that wrinkle on the chest would drive me bonkers.

lol Didn't even really notice it until I posted the pictures. That might have been from my thumb when I was inserting the code cylinders. Easy fix.

I have no interest in Tarkin but each time I see the sculpt of the old , wrinkled man I get excited about what HT will do for the Emperor.

The hands aren't as over scaled as i thought they'd be..and work quite well....but my other wee gripe (along with the hair color) is that the neck articulation is very restricted...swivel is there but the head can't tilt forwards..which is strange..
All in all though it's fantastic to have one of my favourite villains from my favourite SW movie..played by one of my all time favourite actors...Bliss:)

Got in my Tarkin....Glorious head sculpt...which is only let down by the brown colored hair...

...and the mold seam on the head/hair that Wor-gar pointed out and which I can't unsee.:gah::lol

Great pics. It's a lovely figure. I do wish the sleeves were a few mm's longer to cover the white cuffs a little more in bent-arm poses, but a minor nit.

I need to get my ANH Vader put together and finished for this guy.

Change of color to brown is significant. However, he hasn't that much gray hair as shown on prototype. You can clearly see that on the image below. He has pretty much very light brown hair, just roots and a small part gray.

yeah, I mentioned this before, but I think Cushing dyed his hair by the time of ANH and so his hair color is odd in the movie - it actually seems fairly brown in some shots, but reads as more grey in others due to the harsh set lighting illuminating the underlying grey beneath the dyed color.

It's a very difficult color arrangement to match on a figure, and if you look at HT TFA Han, you can see how even HT struggles to do that mix of grey and brown realistically - they end up with this strange metallic brew of colors. I prefer the way they've did Tarkin's hair than trying something like that.

HT just can't paint hair very well...they either go too dark or in this case get it completely wrong...
Cushing was a 'silver fox' in SW....all those pics where it looks to be greyish brown are just from studio lighting.
These shots are more accurate...but better still is just watching him on nice shiney Blu ray..

Maybe someone at HT just wanted to add some prequel Tarkin goodness..
