Wow. Don’t know what movie you people all saw but imo it was a dumpster fire. Visually liked like it was made for TV. Story was all over the place. Acting was terrible. Adam Warlock didn’t fit in at all. Terrible imo.

Easily worst of the 3 and I loved the other two. Marvel has clearly gone off the rails.

We will get a Warlock. But not for this one. The film is too busy and loaded with potential figures for us to get him this time around.

Yeah, I see your point.
However, if they release one from this film it allows them to reuse a headsculpt and body for the future $$

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and taste in cinema is subjective….my opinion of your opinion tho….your taste is utter trash if this is how you felt about this movie, easily sits next to Endgame, IW, Winter Soldier, Civil War and NWH…and I’ll go ahead and say to me at least it surpasses them all except for EG and IW

Of course. I have no issue with what anyone else thinks. It just amazes me that’s all.

I’m normally positive, but this was terrible imo. Can’t think of one good thing to say about it. Perhaps you can ?

I thought it was a silly movie. It was about as good as the second one which is also pretty overrated.

No stakes, they don't even really "guard the galaxy." Everything they do is for selfish reasons.

Whole sections of the film could be cut out.

It's not as incompetent as the other recent MCU movies but it's definitely pretty "meh." I have no interest in ever sitting through that again.

But if you're into the movie then who cares. As with most Marvel entries, this one is the greatest one ever until it is immediately forgotten when the next one comes out and "usurps" it as the greatest MCU ever made. You can hardly find anyone talking about Black Widow, Shang-Chi or whatever other stuff was so amazing when it came out.

I'd comment on my opinion of this figure but I'm not sure how to do spoilers. For me, this is an easy pass but it's probably the most tempting figure of them all. So yeah...

Who's acting in particular?

All I’ll say is go and watch the first and/ or the second before watching 3 and get back to me.

Totally different in tone, look, story. Miles apart imo.

I didn't find the story to be a mess, but it do think it could have been edited down and made a bit tighter. Kinda felt like everything was drawn out more just for the sake of having a more "epic" final chapter.

But that said, I do think it was more emotionally resonant than Vol 2 which was so crazy and over the top it became exhausting to watch.

I will say this on why I like this version of the character best...

The scenes with him and Starlord going into the "faceoff," you could tell Peter trusts and relies on him, that this Groot is a competent member of the team, and that that trust was built through experience. This Groot was raised as a Guardian, and it showed; he wasn't a doofus like the first Groot, or immature like the baby or endgame versions.

Yes! I loved that aspect!

I don’t pose my figures in action stances so whilst the Deluxe looks incredible and that is a bad *** scene… I’ve ordered the standard too. He will look totally out of place on my shelf if I went all out and posed him as he’s been shown here.

i agree that adam warlock was absolutely stupid. i wouldn't call the acting terrible, but it was annoying that they were yelling at each other, over and over. did that look cool" didn't need to be said 5 times

how was the story all over the place? the flashbacks could have been better handled but the main story was saving rocket and his past

could it have been better, YES still liked the movie as a whole.
i liked Gotg3 more than thor 4 and antman 3

I liked the movie quite a bit. The best Marvel movie in a while for me. In terms of figures I mainly want Rocket. Maybe Groot to pair with him. The whole team would be more figures than I’m willing to invest in. Star-Lord would be tempting though.

Finally saw the movie and loved it. Disappointed that Gamora never had a scene of her in the GotG outfit, if only to justify Hot Toys giving us the whole team in a united look. Wonder if could get a second potential Mantis and swap the vol.2 Gamora's head and hands onto it.

Between the above and the fact that I really don't see HT giving us anything beyond Groot, Star-Lord, and Rocket, I'm still on the fence about getting any figures from the movie.

Strangely, I'm ok that.
I don't recall her wearing the uniform in the comics, even when everyone else did. Star lord, Rocket, and Mantis were the ones I really wanted in uniform, so I'm pleased. Just disappointed no helmet, full or otherwise, for Pete.

I really enjoyed the movie, might be the best MCU movie since Endgame. The villain was fantastic. I probably won't pick this figure up though. I wonder if he really does come with two head parts to be able to do the regular figure and the spider walking head too. I feel like that's something chincy Hot Toys would do.

I think that after Endgame, the bar was set pretty high and it was a difficult target to hit for most movies. Guardians 3 really ended on a great note, but as TimespliTT mentioned, it COULD be better, but its still a shining example of how good directing and writing can make any comic book character shine!
Fingers crossed we get more announcements soon!
