Hot Toys Iron Man 2 Movie Masterpiece Teaser

Yeah I can never have enough Iron Man armors... at least the Adi Granov inspired stuff. Not a big fan of the look of classic Iron Man.

I was wondering today if Hot Toys has already planned on making all of them :

Damn. The movie better have a good reason for why 3 different suit designations look 90 to 99% the same.

Screw it. Hot Toys could easily condense three of those into one figure (they won't, but they could). And that silvery mark V is as ugly as a neon-sky hook Batman mattel toy.

The Mark V is definitely an Iron Man armor and not Crimson Dynamo or everything else. To be more specific, it has something to do with the race track attack and the way Tony will defend himself against wiplash. I wouldn't say more (don't want to spoile too much) but trust me it looks a hundred times better in the movie than it looks right there (like someone said it's an hasbro 3'' figure). The design won't please everyone (first time I saw it I found it a bit "disco" if you no what I mean) but it's really better than this toy.

Finally the only thing that really bugs me is that MK6 story. We all know that the V2 is in the movie (watch the trailer again if you have some doubts), but I don't know if Tony will ever use the V1, or if it's just an early abandoned design (actually I only saw it in artworks or toys).

On another hand, Tony have some good reasons to use at least 3 of those 4 suits Some very good reasons.

I certainly hope so. Still waiting for the Mark III version from the first movie. The Mark I has been released, so I've been hanging for the Mark III for a while now.
I don't think we'll see anything for a while though, mainly because of the release of the 1/2 scale version. Pity.

At the very least, IV and VI-1 could be one figure with interchangeable chestplates (circle and triangle reactor). IV is the only one I would care to own.

That would be great if they did the Mark IV/VI as one figure. Maybe the BD Mark III was done to see if they could do that?

I would not be surprised to see HT try a Mark V and even a Tony Stark race car pilot version with the suit-case prior to its complete transformation.

Yeah the Mark V is probably the one I'm more looking forward to now. For me it's because it's pretty much all new instead of the Mark IV/VI which is somewhat similar to the Mark III (not that that's bad in any way).

i love the use of the song war machine in the new trailer, kick ass. this movie is going to be awesome. and I too am looking forward to seeing what the final whiplash design will be like. Am I the only one that feels an ultra man vibe coming from the mark V?

I think MKV is a cameo suit like MKII as i think Stark gets a battering? As MKIV looks too similar to III, I'll be buying V, VI and Warmachine. Hope they make those enemy drones too though. That would make up for a lack of an Ironmonger...
