The silhouette may be Davy, but I think MaulFan is right and it was just supposed to be a pirate-shaped blob. HT isn't as savvy as SSC yet who would have known that we'd find exactly what image the silhouette matched up to.

uhm... whats wrong with the original jack's head sculpt? i thought it looked awesome.

Not expressive enough if there was one thing Johnny Depp did with the Sparrow character was to make sure that he was always really weird and expressive. The worried look on the Cannibal sculpt and even the smirk on the sculpt below look better than the Bland Vanilla pose on the original release.

Don't count out Davy Jones yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Cannibal Jack was the standard release, A smirking Jack was a secondary release like the "limited edition" Sao Fang and Davy Jones followed soon after. Who knows maybe one of these is a Blister Exclusive.

Pass on Cannibal Jack, though. I utterly despised that scene in Dead Man's Chest.

I know -- my Jack Sparrow is shipping soon, now I'm torn about this new head smiling sculpt!

I'm sticking with the original Jack only because he comes with scabbard and coat, which you really need for a complete Jack.... but this new head would look great on the original Jack.

I just had the exact same thoughts about cancelling my current pending Jack figure and then decided not to due to the coat, hat, etc... which are vital.

Still, is this not HT's quickest "upgrade" of a figure yet? Even quicker than Robocop and Superman it seems.

Not as quick as Joker version 2...

But Jungle Jack is definitely one of the few, if any, wardrobe changes for Sparrow, so it's worth them doing. I think they added the new sculpt and dumped the coat and hat and scabbard just so you'd have to get both.... I really want that smiling head! And Jungle Jack's expression is priceless... well, not priceless, about $125 worth actually.

That alternative headsculpt is nice. Not enough for me to buy a completely new figure though. Companies should consider selling alternate head sculpts individually. I would buy a few.
