Hot Toys has a habit of releasing a new version of a figure AFTER the first one has been sold out... and often times the new version has better accessories. they did this with the predator 2 battle-damaged variant. they did it with robocop and the jetpack variant (although i like robo as is without it), and they will do it again.. i'm sure!

This will be an easy pass for me after seeing the photos. I'm gonna stick to the major role Predators only.

YEa guys u have to be careful.. Wait for the one that u truly want.. There will always be a better one. I am sure they will relesese a better one after this one. JUst like what they did to Wolf.

I think tht there's a good chance we'll see one more lost hunter, and I feel it may either be the P1 Lost Hunter, or the Gort.

The Lost Hunters had more screentime than the AVP Ancients .

From a purely mercenary perspective, it's hard to imagine HT not making more Lost Hunters if this one sells. Why miss the chance to re-accessorize an existing mould and make a load of new sales?

What, two figures separated only by a different helmet is not a rehash?

The Ancients were far more rehashes than the Lost Hunter figure is; the only new pieces, really, were the helmets and the Alien trophy. The rest of the figures were very slight amendments of the existing AVP parts with an identical paint scheme. Not HT's fault - that's exactly what the characters were in the film - but they were still very popular.
