Now imagine a HT predator body under there and you have the best P1 figure ever made. Mcfarlane is dated as hell.

Not really, it's a really fun line but it fades when i think what HT will do with THE original predator.

Can't say I agree there. McFarlane's 12" Predator is, IMO, the best unmasked rendition of the original Predator to date, after the maquettes. And I say that over the Billiken, Argonauts and Super Edge figures. The pose is great, the head actually looks proportionate, it's got individual quills... superb.

HT's figure will rock, no doubt, but I'll be surprised if it looks as good unmasked as the McFarlane 12".

I have the 1:1 bust anyway. I just want a great figure. i think HT will deliver (including accuracy). I was never to impressed by the mcfarlane but to be honest, could be because it has a bad paintjob.

Already paid for it (ebay) but if i had to do it all again i would have saved more money for the P1 line. Has to do with frustration caused by waiting for the P1 line, i start to buy random preds. Aah well, still a great fig that lost hunter.

I have a feeling they will bring out all the commandos first too. At least with more time they can probably make a better figure.

Yeah but i want the commandos just as much. Everything P1 is gold to me.

gotta agree with prefused. I prefer the mcfarlane head sculpt. Paintwork for hot toys is better but the mcfarlane sculpt to me is more pred 1.

Hot toys missed pred 1s slanted eyebrows and I think the face is too fat.
I hope the hot toys figure sculpt isn't the same.

HT again looks way more accurate, the mcfarlane looks actually quite bad in those pics.

What's REALLY funny is...is that the McF fig would look pretty good...IF it actually looked like that.

In reality it looks like doo doo wrapped in a biscuit.

Im looking at it now, and it looks fine. The HT looks COOL...but its not P1. McF is still the closest.
