Definitely looks closer than printed fabric.

The Amazing Spider-Man is fabric, too, isn't it? There just seems to be more printing in it than fabric. Maybe that's HT's solution to their rubber issues.

OMG said that the Amazing Spider-Man suit on the figure is screen printed fabric so I keeps the flexibility required for Spider-Man poses. Pretty sure that same technique is applied here.

What's screen printed fabric

It's fabric that's printed on (in this case, I suppose, to print on a texture) before it's sewn. Basically, in screen printing, a fabric screen is covered by a material that blocks ink, except where you want the ink to come through onto a material. Each color on a piece uses a separate screen and a separate ink. It uses the same process that most t-shirts use to be printed on, unless they use a digital process.

I think that's the best strategy from a marketing standpoint. That way those who are waiting on Superman will most likely PO Jor-El while they wait.
