Hot Toys Mark V Proto is out!!!

I love, love, love all the suit designs for both Iron Man movies, but as a figure, nothing will ever be as impressive as the mkI as it's an actual figure wearing clothing inside a mechanical suit and it still retains plenty of articulation. It's very impressive.

Everytime I see Mark 1 mentioned, I cry...because I don't have one

I can see that happening. I made a comment earlier in the thread about wanting to pose him next to my Whiplash. I think someone else said the same thing. I think once he's released and we start seeing pictures of them posed together, there's a chance Whiplash sales could increase.

I thought about that for a second, but then remembered how limited whiplash's articulation seemed to be, but hopefully I'm proven wrong and people can pull off some great poses of him and the mark V battling it out.

If Whiplash was capable of more dynamic poses and had a second head sculpt with a more intense facial expression, I'd be all over that.

Head sculpt is fine enough for me.....you're 100% right about the posing problems though!

Whiplash has some movement issues but works well enough. The figure itself I thought is pretty cool.

I think the MKI which has a very similar and actually more restrictive build shows that it's the underlying figure not the suit. The mkI is probably the most articulate Iron Man figure.

Whiplash has some movement issues but works well enough. The figure itself I thought is pretty cool.

He's definitely cool and looks fantastic on his own, but if people are thinking they're going to pose him and the Mark V in the midst of a battle I think they're going to be sorely dissapointed given Whiplash's limited movement. But again, I hope I'm wrong!

You can get some great poses out of Whiplash, you just have to be brave.

Look at his location, on the left side. The Mike is always inside these girls while they occupy his sig. And with more than 20,000 posts on an Internet forum about dolls, I can sure see why all these girls would be attracted to him.
